  8. I have waken to a blanket of snow. Roads have not been gritted as the snow was not expected to be as heavy today as there was supposed to be heavy snow in the overnight on Monday in the early hours of the morning (amber warning) but hardly snowed. Any areas that don't get any snow today will get it either on Thursday or Friday.
  9. The clip that I downloaded from my mobile phone, I am unable to see the snow falling or the snow that has fallen on the lawn.
  10. It has been snowing from around 11:00am. The snow is light but persistent with some moderate snowfall. MOV0005A.3gp
  11. Yesterday, Thurrock received two very light and very short snow showers. My area according to the Met Office had an amber warning but no snow fell overnight or in the early hours as the sky became very clear with hardly any cloud cover. I wonder if the heavy snow showers set for Thurrock have only been postponed and not cancelled.
  12. Thanks Coram, I hope there will be more increases of sea ice in the Bering Straits. Here is the latest snow and ice chart.
  13. Hello SnowSummer, it has been rather strange in South Ockendon with 3 or 4 light to moderate snowfalls where the sun came out and melts it. I think the bigger falls will come here later on in the week.
  14. I live in Thurrock which is not shown in the snow accumulations maps as I got three short light to moderate snow showers this morning as well as spells of sunshine.

  18. I will be quite encouraging to see bigger increases of sea-cover in the Baltic.
  19. I am also looking for the dry cold weather as my joint pain lessens and my energy levels increase. According to my mobile phone tomorrow is a minimum of 2C and a maximum of 6C, but Thursday and Friday will have minimum and maximum temperatures of 0C and 2C/3C.
  20. Wivensworld I hope your arthritis pain subsided and were able to go to your Rheumatoid Arthritis appointment. The weather has finally become drier but it is still overcast. I am looking forwarded to drier weather as I have washing on the line. I have watched the latest video from Gavin Partridge on YouTube and he said that the 'Beast from the East' is still on. Temperatures will get colder from either Sunday or Monday.
  21. Thank you Yarmy for your helpful answer and for the website link.
  22. It is the second day of moderate to heavy rainfall for Thurrock. The dampness in the air is affecting me badly as I am experiencing a lot of pain in my joints, more than usual.
