Nothing to see here.Move along?

I might well be wrong, and it doesn't mean much either way, but 1983 was in no way great, before the heat started?

Why do I feel that London, the SE and East Anglia will mostly miss out again?

^^ There's an increasing sense of desperation within the gruesome threesome, knocker. I think they're rather worried about how warm this year's shaping up to be? But I'm sure that Monckton will be able to find something suitably inane to say, on the subject...

Things have turned much more convection during the last two hours.

Up at 0630. Back to bed when the sun got too much. Up again at 1130. Breakfast. Mulled around on here inbetween playing Xbox games in a darkened room. Pal phoned up having a spot of bother with his mo'bike. Had to begrudgingly go out in the awful glare of the day to fix that. Came back and had a nap. Going to shop soon, when the light at least starts to fade a little. Out all day tomorrow - forecast is bad so not looking forward to that at all. Wish it was mid November so badly.
No worries, barrie; now you're on the road to heaven...

It's a big one, too...

Out of interest, what is it with everyone in England being obsessed with what the weather will be like at Glastonbury? Are you all going?
Not me NR. Never been and never want to go...

I asked myself one simple question when I read the above. Is it indicative of your mindset, and others, that you use the word 'supporters' of global warming?
Cos they can't distinguish between science-based opinion and the reasons behind supporting Man United?

I think you are right, ido...Does any one of us really have a clue about what'll happen in 10 days' time? Other than what the MetO is hinting at?
-
As amazing as it may sound, there was absolutely nothing around here last night, as far as I know...

Don't anyone ever suggest the east (and by that I mean the proper East) gets all the storms. Surely I can do better than 3 rumbles of thunder? Mind you that's about 100% improvement on this time last year so things are improving
I wonder if they were that same three that I heard!

Is the Triangle of doom still proving difficult to get exciting weather then
Of course!
-
A few distant rumbles, a couple of splodges of rain...Oh dear!

some places will miss out, they always do, but let's wait until tomorrow night before we start any recriminations to the weather
I'm sure The Triangle will miss out!
-
I'm quite sure that I'll miss it all!

This almost brought me to tears
"SHOCK WEATHER FORECAST: Worst HAILSTORMS in 170 YEARS to hit Britain THIS weekend"
And to think that millions of people get all their 'knowledge' from rags like that!

Indeed Ian - the next massive El Nino could be an eye-opener for many.

Afternoon folks...
What a lovely couple of days we're having!

"...it will feel cool during the unsettled spells and warm where conditions are fine."
We I never!

But will the budget of hockey's stick?
I do so love the deniers' desperate attempts to conflate climate science and economics...As if exchange-rate mechanisms affect the weather!

Oh well. 15.7C please.

Well, wasn't Wednesday night a letdown!
