    The four day mild snap in Warsaw is thankfully over today. Back to around the seasonal norms or a little below, 10 out of the next 14 days currently forecast as ice days. Little in the way of snow but xmas at least looking pleasantly a chilly -1 max if current forecasts verify. This weekend coming has some festive temps forecast with min of -8 and max -4 Much better than last year's horrid mild crap.

    Positives from the 00z. The euroslug is on the move again at the end of the run. Seems to be a growing trend. 18z parallel for comparison.

    You're saying what many people are thinking crewe. Have just now checked out the 12z and this is a pretty good ending! I should think there is plenty to be positive about this evening. Although for balance a miserable ending on 06z gfsp. Chin up people, onwards and upwards.

    Still a cold run for central Europe. Hopefully for uk's sake that cold cluster is leading the way and the festive fun spreads west.

    And half of Europe knocker. 00z not as extreme but I would say it shows a colder evolution is possible. The two lobes of the vortex are like a butterfly on the 00z.

    Nonsense statement. All kinds of options can pop up and verify from 300h due to the spread at that range. Not just easterlies.

    I think the phrase "every year" is salient. This happens every year because the UK does not have a cold climate. I wish people would manage their expectations. For their own stress levels as much as anything else.

    Maybe mild output should come with a trigger warning so the more sensitive types can retreat to their safe space.

I raise a glass to the attempts continuing and to the continued fun on the forum, but I do think Tamara was right to criticise the attacks which became quite vicious, petty and ill informed. On to the 12z output and what madness may ensue!
