  1. Give me 2 Celsius and sunny over 12 Celsius and overcast with drizzle any day.
  2. Ditto over here. This autumn hasn't really been that wet over here and sunshine levels haven't been too bad. November has actually been quite decent so far, bar the odd dull day. Sounds like we've missed out, whilst everybody else had a washout. Even storm Ciaran didn't deliver much in this neck of the woods. Nothing more than just a little bit of wind and rain. Nothing noteworthy.
  3. Another December like last year would be nice, but with a bit of snow added in.
  4. Another cool sunny day with a touch of frost overnight, despite the air pressure being fairly low. Hasn't been a bad November so far.
  5. Some of my pictures from winter 2017/18. The first one was taken in the December and the other two taken during the BFTE.
  6. We do get some great setups in this country, but more often than not at the wrong time of the year. So frustrating.
  7. November hasn't been that bad so far in this neck of the woods. Despite low pressure, there has been some sunshine and cool crisp mornings with the 7th being particularly sunny. Temps have been seasonal as well, so overall I have been happy with November so far.
  8. It would be great to experience a below average February for a change, but it's more like a spring month these days. Many people may say that Feb 2021 was wintry, but this was only during the first half and the month still ended up above average overall.
  9. Currently 20.4°C upstairs. Heating has just been on for a couple of hours.
  10. I think a bit of snow during winter makes the landscape all bright and cheery, which would be dreary otherwise seeing as everything is dead. And I am one of those people who runs straight to the window whenever somebody mentions that its snowing. I just love watching snowflakes gracefully fall. Crisp days with blue skies are nice also.
  11. Heating is on and the indoor temp is 21.9°C in my bedroom. Not sure what the temp is downstairs, but it's always a degree or two warmer upstairs.
  12. Searching for cold these days is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
  13. Dry today and the sun has been out. This neck of the woods has missed out on much of the rain that many other areas have been experiencing. Even storm Ciaran didn't bring that much over here. Just a bit of wind and rain. Nothing memorable.
  14. The breeze is picking up here now. Rain on its own is meh, but I do enjoy the occasional storm.
  15. Nothing here either. We are forecast strong winds for this afternoon but I shan't be holding my breath. I also thought it was going to be windy last night and into this morning. But nope. The UK climate is very trying for weather enthusiasts. And that goes for all year round, whether you want summer heat and thunderstorms, autumn gales or winter snow.
  16. Oops my bad. It does appear that I did indeed get a little too excited too soon.
  17. Breezy here today which has been increasing in strength over the last couple of hours or so. Storm Ciaran starting to make its presence known.
  18. I don't want it either. Just have a bad feeling. I would love to have some snow and many crisp sunshine days.
  19. I am going for milder and wetter than average winter with very few in the way of cold and settled periods. I think March will then be mixed. So my vote is for deep into spring.
  20. Despite air pressure being under 1,000mb for over a week now, this neck of the woods has been doing OK just lately with just a few spits and spots here and there (mainly at night and in the early part of the mornings) along with a fair bit of sunshine, whilst it sounds like (going by posts on here) many parts of the country have been experiencing nothing but a washout and constant overcast skies. The only proper washout day over here was on the 20th.
  21. Same. I am not at all bothered by dark evenings, but I am not a huge fan of dark mornings. If we were to scrap BST or GMT then I'd much rather it be BST. There will still be plenty of daylight during the summer evenings, but it won't be dark at 9am either which is what would happen if GMT was to be scrapped.
