  1. I hope so, as by the time we get to the second week of August time is getting on.
  2. Yes, I like seasonal weather. Also, warm weather so early on more often than not doesn't seem to bode well for the following months when it should indeed be warm. Ie; March 2012, Feb 2019 and Feb 2023.
  3. Can't really say that I've noticed yet. I don't usually start to notice until late July, and even then it's very gradual. This starts to become a lot more noticeable from around 15th of August onwards which for me signifies the end of high summer and the beginning of late summer.
  4. Is it me or aren't there as many moths around at the moment? There's normally heaps of them at this time of the year, but I've seen hardly any. Not complaining though as I hate them.
  5. I agree. No point in it being cloudy unless it's going to deliver something useful. Otherwise, let it be be sunny.
  6. Well said. As someone who loves winter cold as much as I love summer heat, I get a little tired at times of hearing "but but but winter" comments. It's an example of classic whataboutery.
  7. I'll give summer 2012 this much, as poor as it was we did have a warm spell in late July and there was a thunderstorm event at the end of June. There was none of that in summer 2007.
  8. Months: July 2007 - Very wet and dull throughout, with the 20th being a particularly wet day. August 2008 - Wet, dull and cool throughout. December 2015 - Mild and wet. April 2012 - The worst spring month of my lifetime. June 2012 - Horrific throughout. I remember it feeling particularly autumnal on the Queen's Diamond Jubilee with a temp of only 12 Celsius. June 2016 - Warm and sunny for the first week, but the heavens opened for the rest of the month. July 2012 - Warm and sunny later on, but a horrific summer month overall. November 2021 - Unseasonably mild and boring. Seasons as a whole: Autumn 2000 - Very wet throughout. Summer 2007 - The first in a series of poor summers. Summer 2008 - June wasn't too bad I guess, but July and August were very poor. Summer 2012 - August was the best of the summer months during that notoriously horrific summer. Winter 2016/17 - Anticyclonic gloomfest. Winter 2019/20 - Constantly wet and mild. Spring 2023 - Didn't really get going until May.
  9. The sky is even duller than dirty dishwater at the moment.
  10. I have already started preparing. It's never too early.
  11. We are now closer to this year's Christmas than we are to the last one.
  12. Genereally no. But there are a few things to consider such as sunshine, time of year, whether or not there is a breeze and the humidity level. For example, A sunny 25 Celsius day with a very little breeze and average humidity would feel warmer in late June than it would do in September when the sun isn't as strong. But hot? Not really.
  13. I like the heat, but I do realise that it isn't for everyone and there is no need for rudeness. I also like cold and snow in winter whereas my mother hates it with a vengeance, but I never feel the need to be rude to her about it as we are all different and it's only weather at the end of the day. I would just continue posting regardless. Never be ashamed to be who you are. If others don't like it, that's their problem not yours.
  14. Have you any ideas on what the next winning lottery numbers will be?
  15. I would happily take an average August as long as it includes sunshine. I think 20 Celsius with sunshine is better than 25 Celsius and overcast.
  16. This summer is going in a similar fashion to last winter. Started off promising, but went downhill thereafter. Here's hoping that the second half of July as well as August will be much better.
  17. Perfect high summer weather. Great for sunbathing.
  18. This is turning out to be a very poor first half of July indeed. The worst since 2012 in my opinion.
  19. Another overcast morning over here. I wouldn't mind it being cloudy too much if we were to actually get something out of it, but for the timebeing there is nothing happening. Just boring nothingness. If it isn't going to rain then let's have some sun.
  20. You're moaning about others moaning about others moaning. Perhaps someone will have a moan about you moaning about others moaning about others moaning.
  21. I am always using mine - don't know how I'd manage without it now. Far more energy efficient than an oven, and versatile too.
  22. Yummy. I must get round to trying them in the air fryer at some point.
  23. I don't bother holding my hopes up anymore when thunderstorms (any interesting weather really) are forecast, because most of the time it doesn't deliver. We have one of the most boring climates in the world.
