  1. Compared live radar to all the models that have just updated and none have showers as far in land as they are currently. Modelling often struggles with inland shower penetration.
  2. Still got a frozen dusting of snow but tonight's snow showers have pretty much disappeared off the model output
  3. Should move to Stoke 4 inches of snow back at the start of December. Average is falling, though. In 7 years, I’ve only seen one winter where we reached the historic local average of 20 days of snowfall and snow cover.
  4. Being from London, this place is like the Artic to me. Takes a lot to get snow in London but very little to get snow here. It is fairly rural. I’m just up the road from Trentham which has lots of open fields and farmland, and there’s lots of hills around.
  5. Can see why Stoke has the highest annual average number of snow days outside of the big hills and mountains.
  6. *Radar shows it’s snowing!* *Runs excitedly to window!* Not a flake to be seen. Back to bed.
  7. I don’t pay attention to tv forecasts anymore. They so often fail to mention snow risks here.
