  1. More snow here than I thought, I recorded 14cm somewhere level. Yellow warning
  2. We're getting quite lucky with the showers. Not overly heavy but snow totals slowly increasing, cars are getting stuck on the road outside as the earlier snow is compacted down to ice.
  3. Still yellow warning for Glasgow, despite heavy showers making it through and many areas at 10cm+
  4. About 3 inches of snow here, not bad for just catching the edge of most showers!
  5. Yeah, from what I could see on the charts they were ENE off the forth but then move more East to West as they cross the country. Can't really complain as we have a light covering of snow, but still hoping for some decent snow depths by the end of tomorrow...
  6. The problem with that is they have a longer track over land before getting to us so we don't get the heavy showers. We really need a slight change in wind direction to more of an ENE'ly/NE'ly to get some good depths, but from what I could see on the few models I looked at, this doesn't look likely!
  7. We're just on the southern edge of the Glasgow snow and have got a dusting. Cars coming off the motorway are plastered. Picture of the showers over Glasgow (before everything turned white here) Hoping everything moves slightly further south!
  8. The current shower in that area seems to have intensified as it comes in land since you lot have all complained...
  9. Showers are going pretty much straight East to West through the central belt, hope they get more ENE or we're going to miss em all...
  10. A foot of snow into the Glasgow area, interesting... It looks as if its more towards Southern Glasgow too, which would be the opposite of the BFTE where North West Glasgow got the worst(best) snow.
  11. The snow shower made it here, the roads/pavements are all white and the snow is blowing around - none of this marginal nonsense
  12. We've got some snow grains blown up against the kerbs but that's after flurries on and off since yesterday morning. There is a heavy shower tracking towards the Glasgow area now, if it makes it of course...
  13. There has been over 70mm of sleet here over the last few days, you are welcome to my future allocation
  14. Cracking photos from everyone as usual. Some places are going to be cut off by the weekend as the heaviest snow hasn't even moved in yet! More heavy sleet here today, it looks to be trending towards snow here but it'll probably turn back to rain soon This webcam pic from the M77 probably sums it up for most lowlanders...
  15. Nice one, that bit usually gets the snow in marginal situations - I'd buy a house there if they weren't so ridiculously expensive
  16. Thanks for the pics. Small differences, slightly lower altitude here and despite snowing on and off all evening quite heavily at times its not settled at all!
  17. Looks like it's blocked now with something struggling to get up the hill or a crash...
  18. Wet snow falling here now. Apparently the M77 is covered over again slightly higher up.
  19. Remember when you went to Canada, I said that we would have the snowiest December on record... I just got the month wrong! Hope all is well in Canada though, I've been enjoying the pics in the N.America thread! For those worried about the wind direction and need an ENE'ly, I'm being lazy, but a few ECM precip charts have been posted in the SE Model topic, which shows a streamer on Monday/Tuesday right through the central belt and down to the south of Glasgow, even into Ayrshire. That can easily change but its looking positive at the moment in terms of those areas - usual suspects in the east getting buried too of course.
