  1. Well so far utterly pathetic for this area woke up to a bare dusting, how really disappointing after this was hyped up so much for it to deliver so little, unless there is any more on the way? Did anyone manage to get what the MetO were warning us about or has it fizzled out for all?
  2. I reckon everyone is in bed after snowwatch last night lol Oh and btw you should see the speed the clouds are moving - crikey
  3. Hmmm not very cold here at all this morning at 4C and had a shower of something sleety/hail earlier but the sky is clearing at the moment hopefully not a sign of things to come
  4. I used to LOVE snow watch via a street light but sadly now where we live there are no street lights so it's either put outside lights on (and risk waking the kids and thus facing the wrath of the wife) or shine a torch out the window like some kind of demented bat(snow?) signal
  5. Lovely frost this morning and the cars are heavily iced up too. Temp was 0.4C this morning at 7am and has since DROPPED to 0.2C so heading the right way and all that at the coast as well!! Looking great for the rest of the week!
  6. Sea temps wouldn't affect inland as far as Beccles I wouldn't have thought it'd be more likely to affect the coastal towns themselves. anyway looking at the temps and the source of the cold I personally don't think the sea temps are necessarily a killer
  7. Down to 5.2C now and it feels bitterly cold out there. I'm still happy with the way things are going I don't think it's time to get knickers in a knot about the breakdown when the main event isn't even here and wasn't even really supposed to be here till Thursday anyway. I think people should follow my example and relax with a glass or two of something nicely alcoholic (and warming) I shall be doing so with some brandy tonight once the kids are asleep
  8. 5.6C here at the coast currently raining but it's very cold rain
  9. woooooooah if that comes off and it falls as snow well..... Thank God it's all happening after weds as travelling into Norwich that day so can take the opportunity to stock up on provisions just in case. Hopefully that cold air is enough to overcome the sea temps. It's pretty chilly out there tonight already I really must buy a thermometer!
  10. Typical BBC journalism though the council rep goes on about having other plans to keep roads open, apart from grit i'd really like to know what these plans are. Perhaps they intend to pipe the waffle these people spout onto the roads use the hot air to melt anything? I really hope we get something from this cold spell. It was certainly chilly here last night, more so than we've seen before this winter at the moment it's very cloudy and damp/drizzly cool but not cold...
  11. Still going for it here but nowt on the radar - weird
  12. He can't there's too much snow cant see any road signs
  13. Still snowing here small grains still but radar says no but its still coming I suppose the small stuff is too hard to be picked up?
  14. Still snowing here but now tiny tiny snow grains and looking like it's gonna peter out nice accumulation on the ground nothing compared to what other areas have had recently but it's still nice, shame will be gone by morning
  15. Snowing v heavily on North Norfolk coast settling beautifully too but think its a case of too little too late now though, but am enjoying watching it anyway
  16. I agree mate had some fun in the bit we got for one Sunday afternoon but that was it, gutted!!
  17. Seems the Norwich snow leading edge has just reached the N Norfolk coast now wet snow/sleet fingers crossed for later on please please please
  18. Got to agree with you there but to some they lump EA in one and say we've had loads when in fact east of EA has not done very well at all from this so far!!
  19. I'm getting really cheesed off with this massive snow event for EA" talk we haven't actually had one in Norfolk yet, ok we had some snow it didn't stick around for more than a few hours tho and was only 1cm at best! tbh if this is the best we can manage when huge chunks of the UK are getting whacked then pfffft to snow anymore. Personally I will be gobsmacked if we get any snow and even more if it settles charts, forecasts etc again pfffft going on the current record I predict no snow for Norfolk now at all. (lets try some reverse psch eh)
  20. Keep the faith for a little longer not to mention keep those fingers crossed!!
  21. Snowing heavily in Norwich now, nothing on the ground due to earlier rain but if this keeps up..... it'd be great if it does as we've really missed out so far
