  1. Yeah a couple of posts on here mentioned sleety/rain over London sooooo glad I don't live in London (apart from the other reasons obviously)
  2. Wow we really copped it last night, it was falling so fast and hard whilst alternating between huge flakes and tiny flakes for about 2 hours or so. We got about 4" last night from it as most of our snow cover had gone and now everything is under a good 4" or so which is more than we had on the Thursday! Off to church this morning (childrens service) so that will be interesting walking down there, no footpath and on untreated roads lol. I'm hoping to get up Blakeney church later on too get some photos from the top of the tower. So when's the next lot now
  3. Why no weather warning from the Met about this snow event tonight?
  4. I know we got to 3C here today and over the course of 2 hours it's now sitting at -1.8C from that 3C amazing and it's now almost totally still no wind to speak of
  5. Temp now plummeting was 3C just over an hour ago now down to 0.4C
  6. Yeah you can track the cold thru the various weather sites Burnham Deepdale 1C Aylsham 1.6C Norwich Airport 1C Toftwood 0.3C Lakenheath -5C
  7. Unbroken blue skies so far today, bitter outside but my therm says 3C how accurate that is well.... Local weather station reports currently 1.4C it definitely feels a lot colder than that outside but the wind has really dropped as well. Am thinking about climbing Blakeney church tower soon and getting some lovely snow pics, will try it tomorrow after the front has been over and fingers crossed topped everything up after our slight thaw
  8. Been snowing up here lightly on and off since about 9pm nice little covering from that
  9. Thanks for the reply hmmmm that's kinda not what i've seen from the various charts on here but guess as ever it's hard to tell. I think i'll just go with what they agree to i'd sooner go tomorrow as I reckon if we are going to get anymore best to go before that happens just in case. Ta
  10. Wooooo interesting times ahead The MiL has to pick her sister up from Lowestoft for Christmas choice to go Sat, Sun, Mon which day would you choose? Personally I said tomorrow and btw i'll drive you (her driver is in her 70's) anyone think Sun or Mon may be the better day for the journey?
  11. Just started snowing heavily again, just after the wife went out to post some letters, think i'll tell to stay outside if she has this result every time
  12. Totally agree, seem to come inland a few miles then skim the coast east to west

  20. 88 Norfolk schools closed it's pathetic really, makes you wonder how this country ever built the worlds largest empire ever lol. A little more than a dusting perhaps 1cm or so now the suns slowing coming up, total cloud cover though, I hope it snows some more for the little ones, poor William was gutted this morning when he woke up to little snow and he's only 3 Gob smacked with some of the pics uploaded looks really good, very jealous
  21. Looking at the radar at the moment there's nothing anywhere near us, think we may have to wait till the sun comes up to kick anything more off
