  1. We've just had a shower of sleetly tiny tiny snow type stuff gone quite moody now dark clouds everywhere with sunshine pering thru
  2. Lots get paid more than the PM though, not to mention the rent free housing etc he gets and expenses like free Sky TV hmmmm and all the other perks and benefits, anyway waaaaaaay OT
  3. Dammit you got my hopes up then I thought you'd seen something I hadn't hehehe Oh well back to keeping those fingers crossed for both of us
  4. I didn't say we hadn't had ANY snow I said it was little more than a dusting, I know Norfolk schools are closed (I have kids) the schools being closed are largely a joke, ok a few are due to heating faults but as far as i'm concerned there was NO need for mass closures today, in fact if you look back through the thread you will see that I am not the only one reporting this. Also Norfolk is a very large county and for nearly all 450 schools to be shut when a vast majority hasn't seen "disruptive" snowfall. Anyway it's thawing now regardless so even places that have snow it won't last for long in this If you look Norwich doesn't even have that much snow on the ground now either. As for unlucky that's the point last night we were once again show to be catching it big style and once again it hasn't happened
  5. I think the pessimism from some of us Norfolk lot is that we have constantly been told/shown Norfolk in the firing line, likely to catch the brunt of it etc etc and so far post Christmas it's been a cold squib. I'm not pessimistic going from models or the BBC or anything just that this pattern is constantly repeating the latest being last night/yesterday showing the low giving us a pasting which again hasn't happened. I'm not complaining about this as such and i'm not blaming forecasters for getting it wrong it's just a fact for this area that we constantly get the carrot dangled in front. It's like the boy who cried wolf but with the snow, now i'm really not saying it won't snow or that the charts won't show more or that we won't get forecast more but the pattern so far is obvious now. fingers crossed it'll still deliver but at least being pessimistic (realistic??) you don't get disappointed.
  6. Too right can't see anything further coming from this massive downgrade for Norfolk and can't believe that the weekend will provide either, by sunset we'll be largely snow free on the ground it's melting that fast
  7. The evidence that so far today has gone belly up (from what was originally predicted for that low) and sods law I expect lol
  8. Cloudy but broken up and the sun is out and the snow thawing, what a load of old rubbish yet again they were wrong about a major snow event unless something else is going to happen later on? That low aint exactly doing much out there lol
  9. What is it with people taking posts and claiming they've said something they hadn't, think some on here need glasses
  10. Is this it now or is this supposed to get worse because if not then once again somewhere in "the firing line" and prime location is going to get nothing, looking at the radar there doesn't seem to be anything other than a few patters here and there
  11. I don't think every man and his dog claim to have more knowledge but it is career suicide to go against GW/Climate Change regardless of evidence one way or the other
  12. Still blue sky here with some broken cloud no signs of anything else at the moment
  13. Sunny at the moment here, mild panic setting in
  14. Yeah nothing like that in the city centre judging by the webcams either
  15. Just a few bits this evening blowing through nothing of any interest and what we had before has now pretty much all gone but looking at that low I can't see how it can miss us on it's current track
  16. Well BBC 1 clearly showed snow over North Norfolk and so did Look East
  17. Yeah we've had a few very light snow pellet-esque showers over the last hour or so, nothing very exciting yet. Look East just showed snow over us from tomorrow morning all the way through till dusk!! OMG if that comes off!!
  18. A few bits of stuff blowing about here tonight not really expecting anything at all so if any turns up it'll be a pleasant surprise but quite saddened the way things turned out for somewhere that was supposed to take the brunt of it originally, still we'll see what happens
  19. I can't take anymore photos of people in the huge mounds of snow when we've got telephone box all especially when people assume you have because you live in EA
  20. Stuff all here still and what little we had has mostly thawed now starting to wonder if any of the precip will end up here at all
  21. That and poor maintenance means heating keeps breaking down, no snow to speak of in Norfolk today yet a large number of schools are closed due to faulty heating
