  1. Congrats to all those who have seen snow! Currently in Cali, so slightly disappointed that I am missing this event, but I am sure this is just a teaser for the upcoming season Also what an event for the Lakes, all models failed
  2. Flashes to my east from the cell to the east of Brum
  3. Lovely end to the day, I prefer to have melt from the rather than from Still snow cover on grassy surfaces and some sheltered roofs
  4. Another wintry morning, nice! I would say at it's peak this event gave 10-11cm lying snow, for me this is a few (2-3)cm short of the snowfall from 24th Jan 21, (totals below), but for those in the south of the region in particular this will likely have surpassed that event
  5. Good news I would say for us Midlanders, most of us are covered by the current warning so don’t worry if you’re not covered by
  6. Well, if there's one thing I've enjoyed about this 'chase' is the Met Office forecasts slowly but consistently decreasing there max temp forecast for Thursday, I do recall it showing a high of 4/5 earlier in the week. It's also been nice to see a slow decrease in the rain symbols during this evening as well. I don't think it will be correct but we'll see!
  7. As @BLIZZARDMAN also stated, I think snow has reduced maybe 25-30% from the peak this morning, I never actually measured the snow, so would be interesting to see how much snow depths have decreased from the morning peak?
  8. Kind of glad that we're in a dry spot at the moment. Temp 0.5c DP -0.6C
  9. Sound of ice pellets here with some flakes mixed in. Can't complain loved driving in the snow during 'rush' hour. Seems like around 10cm+ may have fallen. Current temp 0.2C with a DP of -0.6C IMG_0716.MOV
  10. And you'll be glad to know that the 18Z doesn't change things too much. This is for the 'mildest' part of the day
  11. Pleasantly surprised look how much further south the milder temps are with the UK 15Z.
  12. "12z fax has a nudge South on the LP tomorrow compared to 0z. A flatter more Easterly direction also" From Stuie in the snow thread
  13. Just to emphasise how close things are this is a zoomed in snip of the UK 09Z when temperatures peak on Thursday. These temps are lower than what the UKV 06Z had so hopefully there will be more positive adjustments!
  14. Does seem that temps on the 09Z are slightly lower compared to 06Z. A degree or two could make all the difference for us
  15. Actually it appears that the ECMWF mean is a bit more north than the Op for Thursday (according to some in MAD thread) so maybe we still need a small correction south
  16. Just to emphasise the difference between current snow and total accumulated since T0.
