  1. Not sure but his forecasts are spot on and he’s not quick jumping the gun and he don’t get drawn into cold frenzy. And in the past he’s been spot on
  2. Spot on Blue, he’s very cautious and doesn’t really call on things.
  3. This is a quote from a very respected forecaster on another site. There’s something brewing without a doubt! Thier words below not mine. I'll stick my neck out and say I'm more confident that something is brewing. It fits in perfectly with the analogues / WAI.
  4. There’s room for that vortex to move westwards over American, look how slack the pressure is. No high to push it back. Could we possibly seeing a possibility of a split?
  5. 04th Jan and your Already writing it off?? How bizarre just like the UK weather.
  6. So basically a typical January then? Snow up North on hills, Rain below or above average cold snaps etc. so basically covering every typical UK default January setting. Don’t think you have to be professional to put that out, cover all eventually’s
  7. I’m screen shooting this comment because it’s priceless!! After a sudden flip overnight I’d wouldn’t bet my house on it.
  8. Spot on as I elude to in a early post, usually when the models do this it’s indicative of a pattern change. Now it could go ether way.
  9. GEM UKMO Not much better GFS spring like 14c? Are we seeing a default set to the usual UK Weather? Or we seeing patterns shifting. what ever time to switch into to Xmas mode see Ya when there’s more interest. ??
  10. haboob, strong wind that occurs primarily along the southern edges of the Sahara in Sudan and is associated with large sandstorms and dust storms and may be accompanied by thunderstorms.
  11. I’ve lurked for years in this site and one thing I’ve noticed is that you raise you head during cold spells with one liners and sometimes no charts to back your claims.
  12. I with you on this one, I’m I missing something? All I can see is rain further south and snow for usual suspects North. or can some one explain the latest run shows just below temperatures for Xmas to the 27th with a pick up to a mess which usually indicates a pattern change. now is it a mild or cold change?
  13. Uncertainty again, looking at current model set up’s I’d go with 25th cloud fog and frost the 27-28 windier rain to low levels with the usual suspects get snow. Temperatures will hover just below giving fine margins.
  14. Is that always the case in the UK, default setting looks good then come the down grades.
  15. Thanks for the welcome Sky Full, yes we are desperate for some sun down here rather than rain. I was lurking during the winter months over in Two and also in here, I must admit I’m more of a cold weather fan but will occasionally post when there’s some warmth on its way.
  16. Good morning, my first post in this forum always been there lurking and also a member of other weather forums. So looks like a dry settled weekend for some with temps above average then a change to a more below from the 09th onwards.
