  1. They make a great tent if needed! Sun is just starting to break through the clouds here - no doubt clearing just as the sun sets this evening
  2. Morning All, After yesterday's lovely weather where there was some current bun in the sky, it is disapointing that we are back with the grey cloud (well, in my little bit of the SE). It's actually quite nippy outside this morning. Am hoping the sun makes an appearance because I left my jacket at home thinking it would start to warm up...
  3. probably just as well if you lot are discussing the smell of fish!To keep my post on topic, It's too dark to see what the weather is like...!
  4. Well the cloud is getting brighter here - I might have to dig out my sun glasses at this rate
  5. Morning All, I don't even have to draw my curtains back to know it's grey and miserable outside today. It's becoming like Goundhog Day! That said, it's good to see things are changing and we could see some sun this week - that will be a shock to the system, what with it also being Wimbledon!
  6. An hour after posting the above, the sun has come out putting me in a much better mood. Very breezy out there though so expecting a few blustery showers to pass through during the day. Hopefully that will save me having to water the plants later!
  7. Morning all, I see its still Autumn... can someone wake me up when summer arrives
  8. Well last night was a great big let down (the storms!) - will today deliver? Signs look promising as per usual, but I don't think I will build my hopes up on this one - I am trying a bit of reverse psychology today. Don't expect anything and (hopefully!) be pleasantly surprised! On the plus side, I have half day today (and if coming to work without an umbrella and no car at the train station, it, if nothing else, guarentees there will be a torrential downpour at approx 1.08pm in the Barnehurst area!
  9. Sun has gone behind the clouds now at London Southbank - which in a way is welcome because I really wasn't looking forward to walking to the station in this humid heat along with the sun beating down on me. I still have the horrid train journey home yet though (if Southeastern trains aren't using the excuse of cancelling services due to the train lines buckling in the heat...) Am really, really hoping the storms that have flared up in France can make it across the channel tonight or I might just have an epic tantrum Mini-Raven style and stamp my feet, tell everyone I hate them, throw my mobile on the floor then flounce off to the bedroom and slam the door shut behind me!
  10. Well, it's certainly more humid and sunnier than yesterday was, and although I'm not banking on anything coming across the channel from France, I am hoping that some how we produce some home grown storms later today and into the evening... (I think this is what they call clutching at straws!)
  11. Thread discussing today's potential can be found here: http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/77020-thunderstorm-potential-and-activity-for-wednesday-19th-june-2013/
  12. Is there any chance of home grown storms today? (that will no doubt develop over us then explode over Liverpool or somewhere equally miles away!)
  13. Humidity is rising - barometer's getting low.... according to our sources, France is the place to go-oh...
  14. I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Thor (or at least it had better do, or Thor will have me to answer to!) Seriously though, really humid here in London and the sun is trying desperately to break through the clouds. Fingers crossed for storms later today and/or tonight (as long as they avoid Tom, Jan and Tamara's houses!)
  15. Funny enough Robin we were only just saying yesterday afternoon that 'Summer' only ever seems to arrive during the late afternoon/Evening after a day of heavy cloud
  16. Moaning All, Fingers crossed for the storm potential this week. If I have to suffer humid horrid heat (the worst kind of weather IMO), I expect a thunderstorm (and a decent one at that) to make up for it!
  17. Morning all, Not sure how I managed it this morning, but I have pulled a neck muscle cleaning my teeth and it bloody well hurts! The rain woke me up in the early hours, but no thunder. Now the clouds are rolling in, and it is pretty breezy out there! Glad to hear Keraunophile has had some thunder this morning - blow it this way!
  18. I know - will probably be a quick flash and a bang though knowing my luck (if there is anything at all that is!)
  19. Blimey, it's Bernard Matthews! Tis lovely out there this afternoon - made even sweeter by the fact it's Friday afternoon and nearly time to go home!
  20. Blimey, just caught up with the posts of yesterday evening and last night... whatever you lot were on, can I have some next time? Still horrible and miserable out there, it really is like Autumn, but with a bit of humidity thrown in. At least it's not raining...yet!
  21. I'm on the train home looking out towards the Docklands and surrounding areas - I hadn't realised how misty it has been today. I could barely see Canary Whalf!
  22. Morning all, Crap, cold and cloudy just about sums up this mornings weather.
  23. Looks like the sun is winning the battle. Really is breaking through the clouds now
  24. Cloudy and a bit chilly here in Bexleyheath. It had better clear up after being stuck at work during the lovely weather the past week! Have a lovely day all
