  1. Afternoon All, Not too bad a day here, it is at least dry anyway! It feels pleasantly warm when the sun pops out from the clouds to say hello
  2. I'll be watching Eurovision - can't miss my yearly camp and cheesy fest! Although I do miss Terry Wogan's dry witty comments!
  3. Morning all, Cloudy here, but a bright cloudy if you know what I mean... hurts the eyes to look at it! One of my friends posted this on facebook. Not sure if any of you have already seen it before, but it did make me chuckle!
  4. Crap cloudy day here, but on the plus side, only have 22 minutes left at work and then it's the weekend!
  5. I actually initially read it as 'nice big baps in the sky'! Can't see much sky in my office, but can see cauliflower type clouds bubbling up.
  6. Had sunshine and showers yesterday evening. It produced a rainbow - the end of which was in my neighbours garden! Question is, should I have gone out with a shovel to see if I could find that pot of gold and Leprechaun? If things get desperate before payday, I might just do so... Lovely morning here in London Town - almost clear blue skies and lots of sunshine. I'm going to make the most of it if the charts Coast has posted comes off over the weekend.
  7. Afternoon all, Back posting after not having internet access at home until yesterday and not being in work since Friday. I suffer with fat finger syndrome so decided not to use my mobile phone to post! Now, I know I have been at home poorly, but surely I haven't just woken from a coma and it's now November?
  8. I'd settle for a storm that lasts more than 2 rumbles of thunder - can't believe how bad the storms have been the past few years. It's getting to the point where I am so storm starved, I would sacrifice a winter without settling snow to have a few 'proper' storms we had in the 1980's and 90's that would last hours...
  9. Morning all, Quite nice and sunny at the moment here in London. Is it the calm before the storm? Let's hope not, as we currently have a large heavy metal hook thing attached to a crane wafting in front of our window in the gentle breeze... Let's hope the workmen finish early for the day! Our windows date back to 1872 - they rattle away quite nicely when it's windy!
  10. At least we can take one crumb of comfort from the change in weather conditions today. The nice weather we had actually included a Bank Holiday weekend for once!
  11. My gawd, it was a struggle to get up this morning to come to work! Lovely a sunny here by the Southbank - I think I might make the most of it and take a stroll along the Thames at lunch Have a good day all - and Robin, I hope you settle back to work OK!
  12. Evening all, hope you have all enjoyed the Bank Holiday weekend. After a disapointing cloudy start here today, the cloud melted away and it's been lovely! Now enjoying a lovely warm evening in the garden listening to bird song and breathing in the neighbours bonfire. Nice.
  13. Afternoon all, A mostly cloudy day here with the odd glimmer of sunshine. Had a light rain shower earlier this morning in which Mr Raven thought he had a reprieve at cutting the grass. No such luck and he's out there now building up a sweat Hope you are all enjoying the bank holiday so far - it feels like a Sunday today (I had yesterday off work) so it's a nice feeling when I realise it's still Saturday and still have 2 more days off work Right, I'm off to rescue Mini-Raven from a wasp that's flew in the window... wish me luck
  14. I echo what Jan said. Loosing a pet to me is like loosing a member of the family. Lots of us on here feel like that, and there is a thread dedicated to how it feels here on NW. I hope it helps. http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/76112-losing-pets/
  15. Morning All Yet another lovely day here - I could get use to this weather I finish work at 1.15pm and won't be returning till after the bank holiday weekend, so I am currently on count down. 3 hours and 48 minutes left...
  16. Afternoon All, The sun most certainly has his hat on today in London Lovely blue skies here and the cold wind from yesterday seems to have calmed down (although not gone completely) Hope your all out enjoying it - I'm off to a meeting for the rest of the afternoon
  17. I remember the first time I went as a child, they must have had a Doctor Who exhibition as they had a tardis there. I also remember my younger sister getting upset during that part of the tour where you have to leave your lamp behind and stand in the pitch black and they bang that drum really loudly so you hear it echo through the miles of cave tunnels
  18. It looks like an upside down cat to me Tom - I love Chislehurst Caves. Not been for a while, so might have to go one day this year - never had a bad tour guide yet! Hope the problems you are having in the new house get sorted soon.
  19. What a lovely morning out there today... I do hope those 3 days of sunshine wasn't our Summer (like a repeat of last year!)
  20. Dymchurch on the Kent coast has many a childhood memory for me as my nan and grandad had a caravan, so we spent a lot of the summer there when I was a kid. Infact, we took mini-raven there every year until the fairground got a bit too childlike for her. Sandown on the Isle of Wight is also a lovely beach, and Jersey too have some nice ones. Here's a picture of me in 1985 on the beach in Jersey (where I spent most of the time trying to dig my way to Australia - I didn't get very far!)
  21. This must be close to where I work - I'm very tempted to go - sounds like it could be fun!
