  1. Making up for it today though BB. Only one word to describe todays weather - glorious! Happy St Georges day too everyone! Edit - not sure why St George's flag has appeared above the quoted post, however, considering it feels like it has taken me all morning to work out how to attach the file, it can bloody well stay there!
  2. Think I will use the new one while at work - I minimise the forum to make it look like I am replying to outlook email - so the more whiter it is, the less conspicuous it looks
  3. Morning All (or should that be anyone ) Glad to hear Robin is on the road to recovery Ali I was going to ask if there was any news. Hope you all had lovely weekends and enjoyed the sunshine. Back to work for me today - it t'was a struggle getting out of bed this morning! Mainly cloudy so far by London Southbank. Hopefully the sun will burn through the clouds as the day goes on...
  4. Rumble of thunder here at London South Bank - really heavy rain too (although probably looks worse due to the gale force winds!)
  5. They did mention some short sharp heavy showers this afternoon on the weather forecast this morning. (this was the London & SE forecast, so not sure about those further oop North in this region) Where's Coast when you need him?!!
  6. Yeah, sorry about that - they had a 2 for the price of 1 offer at the supermarket for baked beans
  7. Awww, congratulations on your new arrival Jezza! I've not been around much on here the past couple of days, but I trust you have all been out enjoying the lovely spring like weather? Yesterday was lovely, today is slightly more colder with more cloud - but all in all, no complaints from me - it looks like we are finally turning a corner weather wise to more seasonal spring like temperatures
  8. I wasn't sure if it was thunder on the first rumble as we also have a lot of noise outside from workmen, however, the 2nd rumble confirmed it was thunder. Just had around 20 minutes of sunshine, which has helped to bubble those clouds up again... hope to hear a few more rumbles... and maybe even a flash of ligtning this time to boot!
  9. I still find night time storms difficult and whenever lightning or the thunder wakes me up, I do have that heart stopping moment of fear following by flinging the covers back and dashing over to the light switch. I then stay awake with the light on until the storm as passed - much to the annoyance of the other half and anyone who happens to meets me the next day after I've been deprived of my beauty sleep
  10. Morning all, Just grey and dreary here at work on the Southbank. Fingers crossed we get to see some lightning and hear some thunder this afternoon - I've missed radar watching for storms And you wouldn't believe how long it's taken me to post the above!! Thank goodness pressing F5 about 20 times finally did the trick!
  11. Very nice! Have a lovely break - I would love to go to NY! 2 shades of grey here in London - light and dark
  12. So pleased the move went smoothly and to plan Tom and on the weekend spring sprung too!
  13. I was about to complain to the hubby in the car earlier about how hot the sun beaming in the windows was making me. Then I had a sudden flashback to the past 4 months of cold weather, zipped my mouth shut, appreciated the blue skies and sunshine and wound down the window instead! Lovely day out there - so pleased Spring sprung on a weekend
  14. I am gutted! Really hoped after this lovely sunny warm day (9 degrees is warm compared to what we have been used to) I really wanted settling snow and the dull, dry super duper'e to contunue further into spring. Oh, anaprop means that slushy crap isn't falling from the sky? Praise be the Lord! What a lovely day I have enjoyed.... ok, maybe haven't nagged Mr Raven into cutting the grass, but I can cope with that... for now!
  15. Just seen the local weather on BBC1. Looks like tomorrow will be sunny and dry with the chance of the temperature hitting double figures. Hallelujah!
  16. I did, however, enjoy a crunch of snow under foot earlier when the 0.3mm of snow 'piled' up. Not quite a crunch... more a slush
  17. Finally starting to settle on everything other than the roads and pavements...
  18. Heaviest it's been all day here now - still not settling though.
  19. It's been snowing on and off all morning here, not settling though. I've also had to have the lights on all day so far too - although the lead grey skies are showing signs of getting a tad lighter... fingers crossed!
  20. Am I the only one depressed by this weather? When there are the vast majority of posters still hunting for snow, all I want is proper spring sunshine. I have never felt this depressed at this time of years since.... well, never.
