Very disapointed with the storm action yesterday afternoon/evening. It seems they were either to the North of my location or too far South. (SE1 during the day, DA7 after 6pm) Gutted
Was on the very cusp of a storm rumbling away over towards Essex (around 6.30pm - 7.30pm). If I opened the windows, held my breath and prayed that a car didn't pass, I could just about make out the quietest of rumbles...
What the f happened to our imports? Why is the Channel killing them off?
It's like we have traded in settling snow in Winter (be it only for a day or two) for lack of storms in the summer! I don't think I can remember when I last had a decent storm. 2006?
Hopefully we will get a bit of rain tonight to save me watering my garden tomorrow night...
Yes, it really is quite a nice evening - bit breezy, but its dry and not boiling like it was yesterday!
Have a lovely weekend too MK, and all the other posters here
Shall we all do a rain dance and will those storms over in Northern France to move in our direction?
I really think we should be rewarded for putting up with this heat and humidity!
Just been catching up with the storm thead - how jealous am I of those living in Birmingham right now.
I'd even trade in my accent to speak like they do to experience the storms they are right now!
It's bin day for me too this morning, and at around 6.30am I heard what I thought was a rumble of thunder. How disapointed was I when I then spotted the bin men!!
Certainly seems to have that 'calm before the storm' feel to the air today, so here's hoping!
