Couple of very distant rumbles of thunder heard at London Southbank. Probably wouldn't have heard them if we didn't have the windows open at work!- 3,835 replies

I'm just down the river from you at London Southbank. Fingers crossed it continues in this direction...- 3,835 replies

We were watching that same storm from Bexleyheath. I've never seen a storm from a distant cloud structure like that with clear skies directly above us. Just a shame it wasn't moving towards us!- 3,835 replies

Wow, snow really doesn't bring out the best in some people on here -

Been snowing for a few hours now in Bexleyheath and have a nice covering on the cars and grass but simply will not settle on the roads or pavements no matter how heavy it comes down! -

Settling everywhere except the roads and pavements. Does anyone know if the dew points will get low enough to settle there too? And roughly what time? There's nothing worse than watching snow falling, going to waste! -

Snowing in Bexleyheath, starting to settle now too! After yesterday's fairly warm day, I think waking up to settling snow is going to shock a few people! -
You've actually had snow? I'm actually genuinely shocked because your posts have been so downbeat and depressing that I thought you hadn't had any!

Snowing steadily now in Bexleyheath. Also some sad news associated with this weather. A man has reportedly died trying to rescue his dog that fell through the ice in the lake at Danson Park in Bexleyheath ?
-
Snowing again in Bexleyheath. The flakes are so small, being blown along by the wind that it actually looks more like fine rain!

Starting to cloud over somewhat from the NE direction after glorious blue skies this morning...

Must have had around 5cm overnight in Barnehurst/Bexleyheath. Actually really chuffed with that as I wasn't expecting anything
-
I thought so. I think I will pencil in half days leave from work and make my way home on Thursday after my meeting at work, just in case. I can always cancel if it's later, or falls as rain/sleet

Ps - am on the train home from London and pleasantly surprised at the snow laying from the showers today. Around 1cm (which I know isn't great) but it's still nice to see and makes me feel less 'left out' ❄??
