  1. I'd agree with all of them in that order except the winter of 1979 as I was only 2 and don't remember it! I do, however, remember having a decent amount of snow in (I think) around March 1986 as I think it was then we had to pick up our new puppy from Wembley and the snow depth being higher than the puppy was on our walk back to the car!
  2. Lightest of snow here in Central London - that's Southeastern trains ground to a halt then
  3. I'm at work in central London. I popped outside to take some photos of the sky earlier, but my camera on my phone didn't do it justice. The pictures above are exactly how the sky went - really eerie!
  4. Very strange sky over central London right now. It's been turning increasingly yellowy orange, but now everything is really dark orange. Very eerie. Never seen a sky like it at this time of day!
  5. Very impressive storm here. Lightning very frequent but dry as a bone!
  6. I thought I saw some flashes now I have gone to bed with the lights out. I didn't even realise they were rumbling around till now
  7. It was certainly a juicy daytime storm not seen round these parts for a while. Fingers crossed for you today
  8. To be honest, I hadn't seen the forecast for today hence it was unexpected Hope you get a storm today too
  9. Is there any way of changing my settings so I can see peoples locations whilst viewing the forum on my mobile?
  10. That wind, hail and rain was so loud just now I could barely hear the thunder I do love a brilliant unexpected storm!
  11. Thundering nicely in Bexleyheath and seems to be getting closer
  12. Blimey, that's a trip down memory lane!
  13. Wew, I'm off to bed with the windows and curtains open in the hope of any thundery activity waking me up. I do hark back to the storms o the 1980' - mid 90's. They were the best in this corner of the UK.
  14. I was stuck on a train for 2 hours - ended up going to Dartford as no trains at Barnehurst - took me 3.5 hours in all to get to work in all. And judging by the national rail and SE trains website, we are looking at the same on the way home. Joy!
  15. Exactly what happened to me this morning! I don't fancy that again on my journey home!
  16. Are you in Bexley? About 10 lighting flashes a a few rumbles of thunder isn't a powerful storm. If you aren't in Bexley, I stand corrected. Fizzled out here now.
  17. Just had a nice storm here on the Southbank in London. Can still hear it rumbling away in the distance. Not as good as yesterday though!
  18. couldn't resist escaping my windowless office here at London Bridge around 25 minutes ago, so grabbed my umbrella and popped out. Pleased I did, as there was plenty of thunder, along with a few good flashes of lightning. Hope they are still rumbling on when I leave work at 4.30pm!
  19. Heard what I think was a rumble in London just now? (London Southbank)
  20. Distant lighting, no thunder and judging by the lack of interest/posts in this thread compared to 2 weeks ago not much enthusiasm for tonights potential.
  21. Almost constant lightning here in Bexleyheath, thunder is quite distant though.
  22. That's currently over/near me in Bexley. Pretty good storm, although now more lightning than thunder. ..
