  1. http://electronics.search.ebay.co.uk/weath...34QQsacatZ48624 Plenty on ebay
  2. Barry, that's pretty much how it's supposed to happen here with Stratford on Avon Council..........however. Only certain types of garden waste are taken, my recyclable bin is sifted through at great length (I thought cornflake boxes were recyclable, but no !!). Hence, I'm bored with it all & had a massive bonfire on sunday, balls to it all, I'm not playing anymore *sulk*
  3. This rain has certainly delayed the harvest around here. It was all in this time last year, but the wheat field behind me is still green, not the golden yellow we expect in July. Silage is good though, very lush, should keep the horses well in the winter. Spuds are a disaster, mostly rotting in the ground. This'll affect the price of chips, crisps etc soon.
  4. The muppet who was peddling tree to offset your journey made me laugh. Surely the tree that you've just planted to ease your conscience, was already growing away merrily in another field before being uprooted and planted elsewhere. Am I missing something ??
  5. A good injection of common sense there TEITS. Judging by the METO's recent record, as a betting man, I'd "Lay" their predictions rather than "Back" them !!! This summer being the latest upset.....
  6. That's the key to it all Gavin, keep that pesky Jetstream way to the south of us. Let that arctic air flood in...mmmmm....
  7. A stonker, cheers for the new desktop background !!
  8. Forecast is the crucial word Evo, this is not an exact science, too many probables until the raindrop hits you on the head !!
  9. Phew, a close run thing. Well done Madonna, all that clapping hands in the air seems to have done the trick. Perhaps it's me, but the weather's definitely on the turn since saturday's concert
  10. Are we saved ?? Did Madonna get us out of the soup ??
  11. That's the spirit. I'm trying to break the 25 tonnes barrier. The oil fired AGA should pump up the score along with the Jeep Commander (if only I'd gone for the 5.7 ltr petrol option ). Just off to stoke up the thrice weekly garden bonfire.....
  12. I'm anxious to find out, are we all saved now ?? Has GW been soundly thrashed & sent packing ?? Phew, that was a close run thing, thank God for ageing Popstars. Naturally they all came on pushbikes & not Private Jets/Limos etc
  13. Errrr.....there's a faint chance that he could be taking the Mickey there mac
  14. Good, can't abide this mild nonsense in the autumn. Halloween/Bonfire night etc need to be cold, not this rubbish 2-3c malarkey that we've had in the last 4-5 yrs. In my day......etc etc....*yawn*
  15. Along much the same lines as the positive signs were of this "Record Breaking, frying eggs on the pavement" type summer of 2007.
  16. Great piccy, cheers Iceberg. So when does "normal" opening usually commence ??
  17. Great stuff as always Carinthian, how does this compare to last year ?? Seem to recall we were staring at record minimas about 12-14 months ago.
  18. Only wash these Hippies have had for months, do them good !!
  19. I'm pretty sure a cricket match in Derbyshire (Buxton I think) was called off for snow in June, possibly 1975. Anyone remember this ??
  20. Potsy 1&2 are excellent, but are they weather or landscape photos ??
