The June 13th Anomaly has gone!..... several places are over 30c...

thats interesting.. how many times a day are they posted, and is there a lag (2 days on aim)

The Anomalies would disagree with that, please see the charts posted above.

If you remember, last Summer the GFS excelled itself in predicting the exact temps, the exact dates and the exact areas 40c was to be reached... in fact its whole heatwave temperature predictions were pretty consistent and turned out accurate for several days.... we were impressed.. So why are they now so terrible?... its already 27c at 10.00am where the GFS predicted 23c max ! The GFS didnt get close to the 3 x 30c's we have had, and 30c is possibly today... which is significant because itll close the 30c Anomaly (June 13th being the only day in Summer when 30c hasnt been reached).

doubt itll be clear tonight after the storms..

Todays max temps seem to have stalled at 31c at Lakenheath.... we need 31.2c to get the daily record... (currently 31.1c)

yet another blank night, no reports from anywhere....

Does anybody know what yesterdays max temp was?... i know what Netweathers "current" said, 31.2c, but on windfilder i saw several 32c's around Bracknel, Leatherhead, etc... The daily temperature record is 31.7c set in 1970... so i was wondering if it had gone..

i packed up not long after 10.30 pm , as there were no sightings on any webcam and no reports... i want to save my efforts for when its worth it.. its an effort for me to stay awake, im an early riser.

Felnsburg is a good camera, maybe its better than many of the Eurocams scattered about most of Germany/Switzerland/Poland/Check republic etc...

Yes, ive been using these to try to see which direction the NOAA charts may be heading, i find them very useful - when consistent, and their signal for the rest of June and July is VERY promising...

got low cloud from the east racing across the sky now... i can find nothing on the webcams, although flensburg is still quite light.

LOl.. you cant make it up, theres no cloud coming in from the East on the latest radar, theres high cloud coming in from the Northwest! Not sure id get a view even if they are out.

clear again, and today the cloud isnt lingering so much in the East, maybe we might just stay clear this evening... With the forthcoming unsettled pattern, totally clear skies are going to be rare, lets just hope we dont get too much cloud..

As i understand it, the sun only needs to come ouit for ten minutes or so to make temps rocket... so 25/6c for a few minutes in an otherwise lower 20c odd.. ? maybe?..

completely covered now... no hunting for me tonight..
