    I’m gonna be off this thread for a while now unless something pops up today I’m full of disappointment and I need to put my mind on something else. What a pathetic ending to a heatwave here in the SE. I’ll be back on here when another ‘plume’ event or storms are on the way

    I’ve seen some amazing storms in the SE over recent years. Almost every year. Sure a couple of them were supercells. This year feels like a proper mismatch, other end of the country getting the action now. Something about 2020. Everything about this year is just wrong

    So did this SE England storm become a Kent Clipper how did it move so far East?? I’m just getting rain here with the odd distant rumble

    latest MetO rainfall prediction looks quite bleak if I’m honest shows that mess in the channel dying off very soon and some well scattered showers/storms by 7am in the S/SE and into east anglia, don’t know how intense they’ll be. let’s see what happens though

    I remember having a dream about flying through a thunderstorm as a passenger on an airliner. A massive crackling clap of thunder happened and then all of a sudden I woke up and the same rumble continued and I realised there was a mega storm outside

    Yeah I don’t know. The air has just got that smell. It could just be my nose getting overexcited

    I can really smell the moisture and humidity in the air when I open my window here in south London so I think it is getting muggier

    Anyone seen the satellite picture for northern Spain/Southern France??? Absolutely crazy! Looks like a hurricane or a nuclear detonation with all that cloud from the storms

    Stav on the beeb forecast still going for that line of storms pushing northwards and eastwards across S/SE towards East Anglia and NE albeit slightly later in the morning than previously shown

    That would be a pathetic way to end a heatwave. *Yawn* hope that does not come off. Seems like too much of a downgrade
