    Just watching the latest met office 10 day trend there could be a big event Sunday/Monday with another low pressure bringing “lively thunderstorms” from the south. Still time for french imports yet

    Severe thunderstorm risk for the next SIX days??? Where’s that come from? Surely the ones at the weekend can’t be severe as the heat gets pushed away?

    I’m only seeing that trend this year. Because it’s 2020 I think. Just a terrible year for everything. Last year we had a couple amazing events and then may 2018, May 2017, June 2016, July 2015, July 2014, July 2013 etc. Every year there’s at least one really good stormy period in the south but this year has been the worst I’ve ever seen

    Yep completely right however given the run of bad luck this year I’m not optimistic. I hope I’m surprised though

    It still managed to miss me in south London though, was lightning to my east, west and north. Kind of bent around me

    What is it with this year?? this could be the worst year I’ve ever seen for storms here in the southeast. The best storm I’ve seen all year was the squall line that went right through London in early June from the north and that was with temperatures at only 14C yet during a mega heatwave we get nothing. Stupid cap!
