  1. Just opened the window and the air has that warm muggy smell again. Feels like the juice is topping up again
  2. Yeah. Surprised temps are rising again. Almost 24C (was 22C an hour ago) on my thermometer outside with 75% humidity, yuck!
  3. Is it me or is there some development in the SE again? Is this a cumulus field or some crud?
  4. Is it a direct East-West flow now? Or WNW? Because if that develops it’ll come by me
  5. Now THAT was something else!! I’ll narrate my day: drove down to Rye, East Sussex for a few hours and started to see some serious convection bubbling up ahead of the decaying storm in the channel. After having lunch in a cafe , starting driving back home being chased by a very ominous dark cloud coming off the channel. To my amazement, to my north I saw two or three giant towers. Still developing as I got closer, the size of those things were beyond belief!! Headed right into the storm system on the way back home and my god were the driving conditions horrendous, very frequent flickering of lightning, torrential rain, roads turning to rivers. What an experience! If I’d stayed at home I wouldn’t have seen it
  6. I’m actually speechless at the structure of these things....
  7. Any large hail to be wary of? Will be driving right through one of the cells possibly
  8. My god!!! Heading back to London now from the south coast and it looks like I’m in the Midwest! Cloud structures are insane!
  9. Heading towards the south coast now and seeing some serious convection going on inland ahead of the channel storms. Really looks like it’s gonna fire up big time
  10. Going down to the East Sussex coast today for a few hours. Wonder what I’ll see when I get back home later
  11. Lots of flashes at sea on the Hastings webcam. https://www.geocam.ru/en/online/hastings-old-town/
  12. Woke up to see a lot of lightning on the radar NE/E of London ?? Also there is a very active cell shooting out of France heading NW quickly and growing rapidly
  13. It’s gone. It’s turned into a wet mess. Don’t think the new one in France is coming over either and if it did it would die in the channel again. Would rather now all this cloud goes right away so all the convection can be unhindered tomorrow.
  14. I’d actually prefer if that MCS buggers off now so we can be cloud free to start the day tomorrow, that’s if it doesn’t re-ignite inland
  15. Is the system now stuck in the channel? Looks like it’s stopped moving completely
  16. The eastern part of the MCS could easily swing round into the SE I think
