All in all for me I’d say this was an extremely satisfying day for storms. Glad I chose to go down to Rye and then come back when those cells were exploding out of Tunbridge Wells etc. Some of the best cloud structures I’ve seen. Driving though them was scary as hell. Then a nice distant lightning flicker show over London to close off the day ??????
Getting a bit of rain from the edge of the NE London cell i think. Bright infrequent flashes from that one. Oddly enough, can’t see any flashes coming from West London
The only thing that could mean is the lightning detectors aren’t working? Because it can only be looking at the channel where there is no lightning apparently?
Atmosphere still looking very volatile everywhere from the London cell, across the channel and into N France. Little cells shooting up very very rapidly in the channel if you watch the video
