  1. Had Worse Yes, it looks a bit grim. It's just knocking on Maccs doors as I type, it will feel squally in these gusts.
  2. Blustery and sunny, it didn't make 19°C here, maxed at 17.5°C. Rostherne 16.7°C. Saw a number of bees buzzing about today, the first for me this year. This bee was one of the biggest I've ever seen.
  3. So, the UK has hit 20°C currently, need some sunshine here to boost the NW first 20°C.
  4. Breached 16°C here, the cloud is muting any sunshine though. Really pleasant out, there's some fantastic Magnolia trees about in bloom. Messy when they shed though.
  5. Morning all. Not quite 6am and it's 14,2°C. Can hear the wind gusting outside, 996mb and falling. Sunrise in half an hour, it's not raining 🌬 Edit, Man Airport just tipped 15°C at 6.05am. Going to feel quite warm today in any sun.
  6. Had Worse both my sisters gardens have been under water in parts for months. One cut out a drainage channel to divert water flow off to the path, this worked initially, she is back to square one. My other sister and brother in law had a suggestion to to introduce hundreds of worms to their lawn, this they did just this week. They had to make numerous holes and put the worms in by hand. Interesting to see if this helps drainage.
  7. Yes, been a typical April day, sunshine and showers with some warmth. Pleasant evening here, a bit blowy. Didn't quite make 16°C at Rostherne, although Man Airport did.
  8. Rain through night eased off around 6am. Overcast with the occasional burst of sun, rain moving in later from the west. Bit windy here and a mild temp of 14.2°C.
  9. matty40s I think Friday's low is called Olivia, named by the Portuguese. Saturday is a different deep low, please anyone correct me if I'm wrong. Are you visiting the NW this weekend then?
  10. Joe Snow yes, looking forward to Saturday, bulk of the day looks dry. It'll be windy, but a warm wind, nice temps to enjoy.
  11. Morning all. Rain first thing has since stopped. 7°C, everywhere looks miserable and damp. Daughter fed up with cleaning her 3 dogs up after a muddy walk in the park. Pic from Saturday, mud in the sun, . @*Stormforce~beka* hope you are feeling better today. Have a safe journey home.
  12. It's tipping down here, was going to venture out for some fat balls for the birds, they can whistle.
  13. Morning, mild, damp and grey, hardly a breeze, 11°C. Endless LP dominance.
  14. Yes, wasn't too bad here today, raining now though. Wet outlook with things warming up a bit. Last year the max for my area during April was on the 29th, Rostherne recorded 18°C, with 48.6mm rain recorded for the month. Really looking forward to a decent dry spell.
  15. That's it, brightness short lived. Tipping down now, and any potential electrics in this cell lived and died in Stoke.
  16. Turned out quite a decent late pm around my part of Cheshire. Had a run out, around Holmes Chapel near Jodrell Bank, it did feel chilly when walking, needed my gloves. Cells moving towards us look potent. @Chris.R 2nd strike from the cell south east of Crewe. Not done bad considering it looks like it's been dire for some parts of the NW.
  17. Ahh, the rain back already, 7.4°C. Wet here, drizzle. Birds very active and waiting for their meal worms and seeds earlier. So, will April dry things up a bit?
  18. *Stormforce~beka* you're missing some T and L back home in Winchester.
  19. Mainly overcast and temp here topped out at 13.3°C. Some cloud clearance for a bright pleasant first lighter longer evening. So the new month starts off with rain, tut.
  20. Morning all. Another Bobby dazzler of a morning, hardly a breeze and 8.5°C. Skies have gone a little milky. Off round the house now to change clocks. Enjoy your day whatever your choice of activity, post a pic. @Weather-history I love this pic, it feels like he is staring the viewer right in the eye.
  21. Perfect weather for a couple of hours out. Max of 14.4°C and the sun was out all day. Got to see some lambs up close at Wildboarclough. Didn't walk much, fields like mud baths.
  22. *Stormforce~beka* welcome back fo the NW Beka, how long are you visiting for? Have you some days out planned?
  23. Beautiful start, dazzled by the sun out feeding the birds. Pleasant 8.2°C (8.30am), and the radar is looking ' day out' friendly at the moment. What is everybody up to? Enjoy your day.
  24. Yes, the rainy days have been unrelenting, sunny spells short lived. Tomorrow looks half decent, risk of a shower. Daughter taking me out for a few hours, hope to have a bit of a walk too, try to avoid bank Holiday crowds.
