  1. Dark skies and hailstones currently at the back of house, blue sky and convective clouds at the front.
  2. Morning all. A bit chilly, 2.7°C and alot of cloud about. Macc escaped any hail or rain last night, in fact it was nice to see the bright moon and some stars for a change. Ground is still wet though.
  3. tricol One of my fave places. If you are in there at dusk, keep your eyes peeled for the Red Deer, they are active late in the day feeding.
  4. Ooh tis gusty and wet, didn't need to open the curtains first thing, could hear the rain hitting the window. Yes, some interesting weather to watch tomorrow. Looks quite squally on the front of that system in the early hours/ waking hours, dependent on its arrival. GFS has snow for the tops in its wake. Will probably be sleety cold rain here 150m asl.
  5. Purely personal preference but my ideal summer temp is low to mid 20's, pleasantly warm enough without taking all my energy. Nights are cooler for sleeping. I can tolerate these extreme summer temps just as long as they are brief. I love it that we are not all the same and some of you may prefer hot temps.
  6. Again the odd burst of sunshine and brightness is short lived. Had all the windows wide open earlier, now need light on in the house and the radar isn’t floating my boat, will need a boat soon, nowhere is getting the chance to dry out.
  7. Morning all. Grey again but dry. There's quite a breeze and nudging 10°C. So many surrounding fields are water logged currently, there's continuous run off into roads. My sister tells me the bottom of her garden has been under water for a while. A lovely carpet of crocus in the local park, we need some colour, they made me smile.
  8. Iceaxecrampon Some cracking photos there thanks for sharing. You got to see some blue sky in the distance
  9. Heavy showers on and off all day today, constant mist over the tops. Friend took me for coffee at the Counting House (Wetherspoons) in Congleton, nice little run out, but the rain didn't let up. I was hoping to spot my first lamb, anyone seen any lambs yet? Max of 11.4°C.
  10. Max of 15.1°C before the rain set in. Felt really spring-like for a few short hours, but long enough for my miniature daffodils to open.
  11. Yes, I was wondering when 20°C will be recorded for the first time this year for our region. 21st May last year when Man Airport hit 20°C, I think some recorded their first 20°C a day or two earlier. Mad that it's mid Feb and Man Airport is 15°C currently. Lovely out though, not bright sunshine but dry and yes, it's definitely mild. liverpool Airport 16°C
  12. Scuba steve Hope you have fully recovered from the bite now. It looks very wet this am up your way.
  13. Good Morning. Not as wet during the night here as some have experienced, but the ground is wet and it's dark, dull but not raining. A mild night current temp 12.1°C, not as mild as Rhyl though.
  14. Cracking tune, was theme tune for the smash series Cold Feet, can't get the song out of my head now Had showers on and off all morning, 11°C, currently raining and grey. A bit far out for me to get excited, but could some of us wake up to a bit of a dusting Thursday next week?
  15. Scuba steve ooof, plenty of fluids and rest, lots of calamine on the old noggin .
  16. Definite milder feel to the morning. Had a few spits of rain around 7.30, so far it is staying dry.
  17. Had a couple of showers before 1pm otherwise it's been a very pleasant afternoon. Treated to a rainbow in this evenings sunset. Currently 7°C.
  18. Good morning. Again thank you all for your kind encouraging words, this is a great community to be a part of. Well, I could only see upto about 3 houses down earlier, it's quite foggy, dry and 3.8°C. Rain this pm, a few dry hours before it arrives.
  19. Thank you all for your words of support, I am feeling really well at the moment, and still positive.
  20. Good morning. 3°C at 6am couldn't see any signs of frost here. It felt good to be out shopping for myself and mum again, not done it for a while, my sister has taken over the task, I'll do it for a couple more weeks or so while I'm feeling well, a month's worth of radiotherapy starts on the 21st. A lovely sunrise when I came out of Tesco earlier, off for a little walk with my daughter and her dogs later, quite pleasant out.
  21. Although it wasn't a prolonged storm driven by warmer air, my first rumble last year was March 10th. A few rumbles in fact with hailstones. I hope to cop a decent storm this year and not be tormented by listening to a cracking distant storm
  22. Yes, the heavens opened here about 1.30pm. The snow I saw on the tops this morning has all gone now, has anyone got any pockets of snow left lying where there was some accumulation? There was still some reasonable daylight left at 5.30 this evening.
  23. From what I could see yesterday, snow fall was from about 690ft/210m. Today there is a bit of snow left on the very tops. Nice pleasant morning so far, sun is trying to shine, 6°C, it feels colder though, glad that bitter wind has dropped, it was gusting well into the evening.
