  1. Lovely jubbly day, blue sky bits of cloud and sunshine. There's a bit of a wind though, temp edging it's way towards double figures. Slight frost this morning and the birds are getting quite noisy first thing.
  2. Beautiful cam that. Noticed too that there's still snow atop of some fells too. Blencathra cam stunning as usual, blue sky, low cloud and snow.
  3. Morning. Bright tangerine sky earlier, slight frost on the bird table and fence top. 2°C and it's dry. No threat of Showers currently on the radar unless you're in the Bowland area.
  4. Morning. Yes looks interesting a little later, Moorlands, peaks and Pennines favourable. Calm out there, 1.8°C, DP 0°C and it's dry.... for now.
  5. Been cold rain Macc odd sleety flake. Sky brightening up. Meanwhile, Cat n Fiddle Road closed, also Leek to Buxton closed.
  6. Staffordshire Moorlands having a decent fall again like last time. Pretty scenes on Winking Man cam, 457m asl.

  8. BBC forecast just now, snow 200m and above, main areas to note, N Wales, Peaks and Pennines. Lower levels rain.
  9. Weather-history Find this post very interesting, so from March last year till midnight tonight., the region has had its wettest 12 months on record since 1873. Wow.
  10. Day 10 Yes, last time I could see the snow falling on the tops out east of Macc. Settling snow from around 210m, hills became invisible whilst I watched sleet
  11. Morning. 7.4°C, overcast it's not raining. Interesting still for tomorrow, looks like we will all be radar watching and looking out the window, it's part of the fun. Factored in extra journey time for essential travel tomorrow just in case.
  12. Coming home from Manchester just now and it's absolutely miserable, heavy rain. The bright spells we get are just not long enough.
  13. Morning. Candy floss coloured sky earlier here, min of -1.6°C last night. Frost on roofs but not on the bird table, their water had a layer of ice on. Precipitous echoes on the radar but it's still dry, dull and grey here.
  14. Had Worse yes, seen loads of sunshine these passed few days, real mood lifter. Saw 3 new born tiny lambs today, near Mottram Hall Hotel, Prestbury. They put a big smile on my chops .
  15. 7.5 °c, and as already said, it feels colder. Just encountering a rain shower at Gatley, it started spitting in Withington, Manchester. Some great cloud scapes today.
  16. Was a chilly night, another frosty start. Beautiful sunny morning, can see low cloud/fog on the very tops, there won't be much of a view for early morning walkers unfortunately. Another get out and enjoy day
  17. This heron seemed really tame and was unaffected by all the walkers, watched it catch and swallow a second frog whole, it must have some young to feed. I could have sat and watched it all day. Didn't realise how big herons are up close, scared me, glad I don't look like a frog.
  18. Yes, that's the one, from Macc to Marple taking in towns and villages along the way. 11 miles in total. I did a small section through Poynton out towards Lyme Park, such a cracking day for a walk.
  19. What a beautiful day it's been. Had a walk along a disused railway line called the Middlewood way, saw a heron with a frog in its beak. Had tea at the Flying Horse next to the airport and was treated to a stunning sunset. Currently 4.3°C, its going to be a chilly night.
  20. Lovely crisp, chilly morning. 0°C and sparkly frosty. Birds water frozen over. Going to be a clear beautiful sunrise.
