  1. Tis a bit benign. Anyone thinking of washing the salt off their cars this weekend? Southern flow is bringing Saharan dust Sat, Sun, and into Monday. Mild temps, and if it's clear there could be some orange sun rise and sunsets.
  2. Calm uneventful night. Temp min was 3.8°C last night. Currently 6°C and overcast.
  3. Been a stunning day, but felt chilly. Some small branch debris about this morning, and there's still a few fields looking water logged. Clear, dry night ahead, temp at 8pm 3.8°C.
  4. Yes, I couldn't settle back to sleep, there's been some window rattling gusts. Not as wet outside as I thought it would be, but noticed how the temperature has dropped, 12°C at 2.30am, just 4 and a bit hours later its just nudging 6°C. Still a bit windy out here.
  5. Passing over now, 3.12am, it's a right window rattler, rain pelting down too.
  6. @Hoghtonwhite yes, it's windy here, looks like the squall is fragmenting on its southern end, windy enough without it.
  7. Wind has roused me from my slumber, light sleeper. Have a squall approaching.
  8. Stayed overcast all day and dry. Temp reached 12°C, mild for the time of year.
  9. The sun is trying its best to shine in between overcast skies. Had rain earlier 6.30ish, now dry and pleasant, 10am, 8°C.
  10. @moochops I don't mind cold frosty days, I love snow too, but if it isn't going to happen, like you, I want Spring to burst forth in all its green, sunny mildness. Long may @Rain Lady snowdrops burst open and flower, a welcome sight on any grey day.
  11. Not been a bad day at all here. Max of 11.1°C and a dry and bright afternoon, dregs of daylight lasting until almost 5pm now. Only 37 days to meteorological spring.
  12. Still a little blowy and a temp of 9°C, a number of wheelie bins strewn about, thankfully my fence is still in place. Hope everyone's damage if any is minimal.
  13. Right, just a test. I've got it. Thanks.
  14. I'm not the brightest flash in a thunderstorm, but, why will it only seem to let me quote one word and not a sentence?
  15. @silent Snow lover hello and welcome to the Netweather Forum. The wind makes me nervous too, they are long nights waiting for the wind to abate. I hope all is well this morning.
  16. @Dark Horse If there's not going to be any more snow, then I'm all for spring like conditions to come early with sunshine and warmth.
  17. As others have said, the gusts sound and feel more stronger that Isha. There's a couple of wheelie bins on their way to the park, my bathroom extractor fan sounds like @Had Worse bagpiper and the lights have flickered x3 since 9.30pm. No doubt be fun and games at Man Airport.
  18. Very grey and wet. Lots of surface water on the roads. River Mersey had a bit of torrent on at Northenden, levels looked OK.
  19. Tuesday looks a bit wet regionwide. You could do without this tomorrow then.
  20. The night/morning passed quite uneventful, thankfully. Everything literally IMBY seems to be in its place and I haven't gained any items either. Road appears free of brick or slate. Heard some decent gusts, thankfully that was all I heard. Glad majority of us escaped unscathed, sorry for those now facing repairs and the cost of any damage. A bright sunny start, yes it's a bit blowy still, 7.1°C. Felt pleasant out feeding the birds earlier.
  21. Sit tight, it will pass. Sounds like your getting it quite rough. Not much support am I? The wind fears me too. I'm watching old episodes of Time Team with my headphones in and the volume turned up, as well as checking this thread, it's a good distraction not hearing all the gusts.
