    Had frost here too in the higher parts of Macclesfield. I'm a town centre dweller and had nowt.

    Yes, definitely would like to see a decent snow fall or two this season and more sharp frosts in the the morning. Last winter seemed an endless stretch of grey, mild, damp days.

    There are a few cams for Rab island on the Whats up cam network, the deltas apartments cam is showing frequent lightning, sorry can't do you the link, not much use am l.

    Greetings from the NW of the UK. Just had a scan through some live web cams and found some beautiful snow scenes in Obertaun, Pongau, Speikboden and in Italy at Ahrntal Bolzano. Looking forward to some stunning snow pics from yourself. Keep safe.

    There's been some nice cb's moving over in a NNE direction, some gaining height but become stunted and the tops fragmenting. Nice little cluster in this pic, east of Macclesfield.

    Had a power walk earlier, trundled through the odd layer of brown crispy autumn leaves, odd not having the damp woody evening sniff of autumn in the air but the whiff of a couple of barbecues instead. Had a few drops of rain which quickly dried up, still overcast as can't see Mars. Just shone torch at my garden thermometer it's reading 19°, this is an urban reading as I'm in the centre of town, maybe cooler elsewhere. Late summer bliss.

    Stunning day today, garden thermometer maxed at 26°. Iovely stream of AcCas earlier, it has now clouded over but still is very warm. Power walk again tonight I think with my daughter, keeping an eye on the rain coming in from the west. All enjoy your evening.

    The start of what is going to be a beautiful day here in Macclesfield. The moon and Venus just before sunrise.

    Gusts picking up here in Macclesfield, just had to close the upstairs windows before my curtains end up in Buxton. Small plant containers blowing around the garden and the fence panels have begun to rattle. Rain has eased off for a little while. Keep safe.

    I can just make out the strikes on the radar near Macclesfield. Angry looking cell as it moves away.

    Just had torrential downpour here in Macclesfield, thought l saw a flash out the corner of my eye, didn't hear any thunder though.

    This has all fired up very quickly, looking north east from Macclesfield.

    Mass of bubbling convection in the distance north west of Macclesfield, out towards the Dee estuary at a guess.

    Dark skies to the south of Macclesfield too, but to the north west in the distance there's this mass of bubbling convection, as the crow files it's out towards the Dee estuary. Sorry photo does not really give the sense of how big it is.

    Same around Macclesfield, some huge towers in every direction, went dark 20 minutes ago, but it resulted in just a shower. I don't know if there was a rumble, lots of noise outside at the moment, traffic, building work in a nearby property.

    Tuesday night last week during that fantastic storm we has in Macclesfield, my daughter and I heard a loud hiss immediately before a dazzling white flash in front of us. Anyone else witnessed that?

    Steady rainfall at the moment, just watching a really dark cell north of Macclesfield, seemed like it was going to produce something. Rain just easing off.

    Evening. I'm 16 and a bit miles north of you, skies gone really dark to my south and south east, radar now looking very interesting indeed.
