  1. CharlieBear9 Mild and wet winters fine by me chap.
  2. SollyOlly Fair enough. I have hardly been on here for a few months. Influencers abound.
  3. SollyOlly My comment is the relentless disposition towards wet weather over a prolonged period including substantial parts of summer 2023. An ongoing pattern for some 13 months or so. You and others may read in to it what you will.
  4. I can't see ignored posts either. Have a nice evening.
  5. SollyOlly Point is it's been relentlessly wet. For months on end.
  6. B87 B87 I made that very point a couple of weeks ago. The relentless low pressure and lack of a prolonged dry spell. Everywhere is sodden. Noticed a few charts in the last couple of years which show NW Scotland as below/average rainfall. With England and Wales well above. A recurring theme. With a massive High over Greenland/Iceland. We desperately need some prolonged warmth and dry weather. Outlook for April more of the same old rubbish.
  7. Same old . Same old. Southerly tracked jet stream. Wet. Windy. Chilly. Anyone would think Spring is here.
  8. al78 al78 West Midlands had storms and local flooding on both weekends in mid June. Probably 10th and 17th June. Our driest spell was about 10th May to 9th June. Wasn't particularly warm then but dry. We became warmer from 9th June until about 25th June but with those downpours sandwiched in there !
  9. SunnyG You are definitely correct. Look at the last 13 months. No meaningful prolonged dry spell. Just wind rain and cloud . No difference April or July. October or December. Same old awful rubbish. No wonder the roads are full of pot holes.
  10. reef Cold for me mate. Never gets above 11c/12c if lucky. At least 5 months of it.
  11. Disgusting day. Cold. Wet. Rain the entire day. 6c/7c. Still raining now. But it is the weekend so why is it even an issue. I note mid week is spring like 16c and I am stuck at work.
  12. Weird how within a couple of weeks of the end of October the cold arrives. Yet it takes months on end for any warmth to appear winter in to spring!
  13. How utterly typical Tue to Fri stuck in the office is bone dry. Come the weekend and Sunday is an absolute washout. Just happens time and time again. It's about time we had the weekend on Wednesday and Thursday. Guaranteed decent weather every week.
  14. Hoping for a better spring than 2023 which was chilly. We never got above 21c here until June 9th. Nothing worse than that after 5 months of winter.
  15. The dark. The constant 5 months of cold. The damp. The dullness. Snow. Ice. Fog. Need I go on.
  16. CharlieBear9 To be fair it wasn't a bad winter in terms of what I dread which is severe cold. A couple of cold spells in December and Jan but nothing too bad. Mainly wet and mildish really. Just glad the mornings and evenings are drawing out now. All the best.
  17. The 4 months of hell are over ! Always descend in to gloom when November to February arrive. Typical then March 1st feels more like winter than spring. I have had the cough hell for 3 and a half weeks and hoping a bit of warmer weather will help shift it. Looks like waiting a bit longer. But hey bye bye winter. Hello spring !
  18. 5 days to go. The cold and dark of winter gone again for about 9 months. Already daffodils emerging. The grass looking like it has a bit of strength in it. The sun has a bit of warmth in it. It's great !
  19. It's coming home. It's coming home. It's coming. The sun is coming home !
  20. raz.org.rain That looks like UK stuck under cool and wet. No thanks. Had enough of that last spring and (so called) summer !
  21. Sooner it gets here the better. Those 4 months November-February . Depressing doesn't describe it.
  22. raz.org.rain May 1989/1990/2018 will do me. Magnificent May months. Lots of sunny warm weather. 1990 was hot. Temps often in high 20's. More of that please !!!!
  23. Can't wait for spring and the lighter evenings. Fed up of the dark since November. Fed up of the cold. Praying for some warmth April/May. Last year they were awful. Cold. A terrible extension of winter.
