  1. Weird when you think the dry part of 2023 was about six weeks mid Jan to end of Feb. The Azores high in charge. Why didn't it appear for July and August when it was useful !!
  2. Yes. Lovely today after yesterday which was raw chilly and damp. Must admit I can't do with those freezing cold mornings when you can feel it creeping around your legs and ears and feet like blocks of ice. Much prefer when it's 15c at about 5am.
  3. Well. A decent enough day. Almost dry apart from a brief shower on the breeze around 15:00. Good sunny spells amongst the broken cloud. Moderate breeze. Not warm but not too cold either. I suppose a bog standard autumn day !
  4. No worries. I wasn't offended in the slightest. I give as good as I get. It's all good.
  5. I think it comes from contributions like mine. I despise the cold so a mild few weeks is heavenly for me late autumn/early winter. In fact i have come on here and actually said I don't mind a late winter. Feb/March. Spring around the corner
  6. Not really bothered November to March. Only want sunshine April to October.
  7. Luckily no real freeze so far. No frosts and all that. Looking at Met Office outlook saying mild until at least December. So far so good ....... .
  8. Disgustingly awful. Cold. Wet. Dark. Only another 17 weeks of this s**te.
  9. No proper prolonged dry spell . Just wind and rain. And cool.
  10. 2023 apart from mid Jan to end Feb and then 2/3 May 1/3 June has just been wind and rain (apart from the early September week) . We really need a long dry spell.
  11. Sure is. You can see why hedgehogs and stuff bury themselves away from it.
  12. 20c is still a bit of a nip in the air under cloud.Having said all that 20c is just a distant dream now. The long march to April begins. 20 weeks to go.
  13. Nor the 24 hour darkness in winter. For 3 months. Awful
  14. Won't be putting my heating on unless it's absolutely necessary. I refuse to have these privatised money making machines getting rich off my back. I'd rather sit there with a wooly hat on and about 5 blankets.
  15. ✌definitely. Summer ruined by it as well !
  16. Not too much in the way of zero c nights . Which is absolutely fine by me. Nothing in that respect going forward. I don't mind Atlantic dominated winters. It keeps the freeze away.
  17. Oh ok. I just looked at the general perception and indeed my own perspective. But true August was fine without being brilliant. But fair play to you. You have the data to back up your narrative. How can i say anything when I don't have the stats.
  18. Same old weather pattern since end of June with just the odd interlude of warmth early Sept/Oct. Basically wind and rain. Luckily today improved after lunch with a few sunny intervals and in the light breeze felt ok. Desperately need a prolonged dry spell. Aside from mid Jan to end of Feb and a month from May to June it's been wet.
  19. In fact. I have had enough of this 'member'. Look. You ignore me. Fine. Just don't keep going on about it. What are you trying to achieve? I ignore you as well but I don't keep going on about it . Aye.
  20. I don't love rain. I love sun a warmth. And I work. Just to clarify a certain 'member'.
  21. Still awaiting the first enormous spider in the living room. It's only a matter of time with this chill weather. You sit there watching telly and out of the corner of the eye you see it.
