  1. I’m not seeing anything substantial in risk area London eastwards. it’s a very sad state of affairs that a warning is put out for thunderstorms for 1 clap of thunder - just look at this mornings warning. America must laugh at us.
  2. A fart in wind ‘Thunderstorm’ warning America must laugh at us. Yellow warning for drizzle incoming….
  3. Had pink and red radar pass overhead since 10am this morning Managed one rumble. As Tom posted above Lightning map is dead.
  4. Boring rain here with grey slate sky overhead. can see some brightness in the distance.
  5. Moderate rain and one rumble from this lot passing overhead so far. Pink hopefully the sun returns once the front clears pass these fart of a storm
  6. The dark red right overhead that’s managed to give a fart of thunder once Only in the U.K.
  7. Had much brighter echos pass 2 hours ago that just gave boring rain here. I presume this is just another rain band moving NE?
  8. Blue skies and 26c Absolutely beautiful weather. Love my country in the sunshine
  9. One of the wettest countries in Europe and its panic mode because it hasn’t rained in 2 weeks. I don’t get it, can only presume the Scot’s took their tops off to lobster up and whatever fires happened were human made, cigarettes etc. The ground dampness/ air temp etc is simply not conducive for a natural fire at present in Scotland. Not sure where you’ve been.
  10. Drought? Scotland has suffered months of endless rain prior to the last 2 weeks. Other countries must laugh at us. Scotland has a few weeks of dry weather and temps of mid twenties (not even hot) and all of sudden it’s the Sahara
  11. I spent 5 weeks in Jamaica July to August and fluctuated around 34c. Flew back to the U.K. with 30c and felt humid and much more hot and sticky. You must of landed in a freak cold August.
  12. Thick low cloud here and doesn’t feel warm. Most probably clear come 4/5pm to give a few hours of bright weather.
  13. Deluge inbound for us this evening looking at radar. Rivers swollen and ground soaked from a soaking winter. Need a long dry hot summer like last year… fingers crossed.
  14. God I hope so. With winter weather non existent nowadays and soaking rains in March - I’m hoping this chart is one of many for a hot dry summer ahead. Can the U.K. get at least one season right please.
  15. Rain has been relentless today. Bogged soaking ground with local river streams higher than ever. Praying for a baking hot dry summer like last year.
  16. Raining here, apparently some wintry mix past midnight according to apps. I’m 150m asl and still needs some good going. Like pulling teeth to see a flake
  17. Feels very cold out there but probably due to wind chill. Moderate rain beginning here. Going to take a hell of shift cold dig south to turn this wet mess to snow.
  18. As a correction South is 90% of the time down to T0hr. Midlands place to be next week if any ppn actually around.
  19. It’s been entertaining though. If rather painful. The rule still stands, never get on board until Exeter are.
  20. Scotland gets snow? Groundbreaking that is… Looks pretty dry bar the odd sleet/snow flake in Leeds as well before the mild air sweeps in.
  21. Good post. I remember only a few days ago that Tuesday was shown as LP/ disturbance running down from the north. Away from Scotland and Eastern costal counties it looks very dry on this Saturday evening for next week
  22. If I were living South of m4 I would be very interested in a possible snow event early next week. As 90% of the time, ppn always corrects South until +06hrs so even here it’s not guaranteed.
  23. Not expecting anything substantial here in Bedfordshire next week in terms of snowfall. Maybe a few wet flakes if moisture is present with cold uppers. ECM had the MAD thread praising last night because it showed cold, but now it’s showing a bog standard chill spell soon erased to the Atlantic it’s now wrong apparently
  24. Just watched the Meto 10 day trend. Talk about a reality check. Completely watered down version of posts on the MAD thread. As usual the meto use words ‘chance’ potential’ uncertainty’ blah blah blah One wonders why they even bother if everyday after day 4 is a ‘chance’ no matter what the weather. Roll on spring.
