  1. Water levels continue to rise here. Constant heavy rain since 7pm last night. Lots more to come with a roaring jet stream. Remember when there were folk on here crying because didn’t rain for 3 weeks in July
  2. Indeed. Brakes firm at Holland. Gut feeling or should I say history tells us that the Atlantic will break through but enough to give the Netherlands (Holland) and N Germany some pre December snow
  3. Agree, only had about 20 minutes of rain overall yesterday here. Hope summer gives us one last hoorah before the mild wet Atlantic borefest kicks in.
  4. Bone dry here all day. Looking at radar nothing heading my way either. Why was there an amber warning for what looks like bog standard rain affair ?
  5. It’s the U.K. mate. A bore fest compared to over the pond. Not expecting anything other than light rain and maybe something steadier coming from the Atlantic on Thursday. Business as usual.
  6. Recon Thursday will be my best bet for some rain. Cant remember ever witnessing a thunderstorm when under a Yellow Warning. Just doesn’t happen nowadays. Late 90s early 00s saw some crackers though.
  7. From Met office tomorrow: Monday: Hot again for many, with sunny spells. However, cloud will build with showers and thunderstorms possibly developing. Torrential downpours, frequent lightning and hail are possible, although many parts staying dry. Maximum temperature 32 °C. More chance of getting a flake of snow then a thunderstorm here. History tells me that a thunderstorm is ‘highly unlikely’ a torrential shower is a ‘possibility’ but staying dry is ‘highly likely’
  8. Stunning summers day. Home now from work with not a cloud in the sky. Looking forward to the hotter temperatures over the coming days. Given going abroad a miss this year, seems I picked the best time to do it!
  9. Another beautiful day. love it. Drawing a line from Reading to Birmingham- SW of that looking see the hottest temps this week. Parts of our region still into the low 30s as well. Terrific summer, long May it continue.
  10. Had a burst pipe that has been since May sharing our houses and farm behind. Zero response from water board But apparently turn our sprinklers off!! Media won’t report that though, it doesn’t fit their narrative!!
  11. Don’t know if it’s already been mentioned but just reading various articles and watching latest news on TV Over 3 billion tonnes of water this year have been lost so far in this country due to LEEKS!! Hose pipe bans won’t even touch the sides, yet more overhype, scaremongering government clap trap aided by media to put yet another catastrophic fear on the British public. Yes we could do with rain, just as we did in 2003 if not even worse - guess what - years of flooding and people losing homes due to floods post 03’ Just grab a watering can and your flowers will be fine!!!
  12. Definite trend for those higher value temps to be out West - West of England into Wales now. down to HP orientation next week. More likely temps hitting 30c tomorrow -Birmingham, Bristol and South Wales rather than SE England. Latest BBC forecast hinting at that too.
  13. Beautiful summers afternoon coming up. Blue Sky taking over from the south. Feels very warm. What a cracking summer so far & looks to be very warm again late week after a brief cool down. No signs of Atlantic wash out thank god, we have weeks of that to come in autumn.
  14. U.K. still can’t manage a clear sky on one of the hottest days. Meanwhile in France
  15. Instability popped out of nowhere, nothing on Sat Visable 15 minutes ago. Can imagine will be strong cloud cover come 4pm
  16. See how western/central/northern France can actually have a proper summers day without cloudy spells, with 40c temperatures compared to the U.K.
  17. Just hit 35c here Stunning summers hot day. Cloud on the horizon moving NW/W - Could this scupper the record?
