  1. Bump on the head for the folk that need a reality check for 40c + ‘Crying how awful it would be’ but secretly hoping it happens!! Mid 30’s - 35-37c a possibility on current charts with the realistic timeframe in play. Models and posters were going for 37/38c 7 days ago for this coming Monday. - 32c reality. fridge/freezer’s safe for now
  2. Stunning summer day so far. High cloud pushing across now, usual British fest. Seems impossible to get a blue sky day nowadays.
  3. Forgetting the hype from the models churning out 40c in LALA land. Met Office summing it up nicely for our region. “Warming up” with lots of uncertainty on temperature values. At least good summer weather on offer instead of the usual Atlantic dross.
  4. Clearer skies past hour here. Temps increased to 26c. shows what a few sunny spells can do.
  5. Well after the pathetic media frenzy over a 1 day hot spell yesterday, it’s now intermittent rain/drizzle here. Other countries must pi** themselves laughing at us. Looking forward to next week, models firming up on a pretty decent week of sunny conditions and warm temperatures.
  6. Was 26c at 2pm. Clouding over now (usual summer day in England) temp now 24c Got to laugh at media etc reporting hot conditions. 34c possibly for one day.. whoop Dee dooo… This is not hot. It’s summer. Other countries must laugh at us.
  7. I’m with Meto latest at 34c rather than ECM. Meto really going for 34c across SE, Northern Home Counties - BBC as well.
  8. Dill, damp, miserable day. Rotten - feels like a November day. Soaked ground from all the boring rain last night. Need a boiling hot dry spell = ?? to weather gods. No storm here. Just boring soaking rain
  9. My vote would be on ‘your dog being ok with no anxiety attacks” Im under a third ‘thunderstorm’ warming in a week and yet to see anything other than bog standard rain. I really wouldn’t worry yourself, we are not the MidWest.
  10. Thunderstorm Meto yellow warning for my area 3rd time in a week. 3rd time lucky? Doubt it!! Seems just as difficult to get a flash of lightning as it is to get a flake of snow despite the hype/posts & “watch out” on Net weather. Another evening/pre midnight splash of rain much more odds on. Mind you it’s the U.K. - a single rumble of thunder is classed as catastrophic- I keep forgetting.
  11. PPN decreasing on Landfall. What’s new!! Channel still cold this time of year. Thunder activity pretty dire, although the U.K. just came second in Eurovision tonight, wonders do happen!! Bit of Rain heading over to my location (Bedfordshire) later in night, nothing unusual. Shaping up for a another decent day tomorrow at least.
  12. On Saturday, models, posts etc would have had me in cloudy low double digits by today. Another cracking Spring day ahead tomorrow, seems that easterly feed isn’t as murky/cloudy as forecast. Stunning week here so far and another beautiful wall to wall sunshine evening ahead.
  13. Chance of local fall of snow in East Kent if ppn pivots & makes it across according to Chris Fawkes. Just look at 80 miles east. Couldn’t make it up. Even Paris have a spell of snow setting in Friday morning according to Meteo, France.
  14. Once again the continent in with a chance. 80 miles East of Kent coast our Belgium & Netherland friends look in with a shot. Snow shield still in full operation. Seems Paris and Madrid get more snow than the South East of England. Roll on summer and lots of Spanish plumes.
  15. Still feels like a very windy day here. Storm Doris was a lot worse around here. A lot smaller gusts now in Bedfordshire
  16. Same here, just a very Windy day so far. Everyone carrying on as normal and traffic still the same. Is it suppose to get any worse here?
  17. Back to the days walking home from school in 70mph gusts minus naming low pressure systems storm names.
  18. While we get stuck with gale force winds, Ireland and Manc northwards gets SNOW Come on Spring…..
  19. If this winter wasn’t bad enough for cold and snow we now get the insult of a vigorous Low Pressure system bringing severe gale force gusts whilst Lancashire North gets coated in the white stuff! Roll on spring…..
  20. At least we are not having to endure Atlantic onslaught of wind and rain, flooding and misery. Would rather this dry, bright and usable weather any day if it isn’t going to be a cold and snowy winter.
  21. Not true. My native Madrid friends and locals in Almeria Spain where I visit every year, love their hot weather. It’s their culture. Folk climatize and it becomes part of there everyday living. Don’t think I’ve ever met a Spanish/Greek local who has complained of their glorious summer weather before. Not like the brits, that scream “it’s too hot” after 1 day of 27c
  22. Athens, Greece set to get some good snowfall in next 24hrs. Imagine being a country with hot summer weather and yet better cold/snow chances than the U.K. in winter months at that latitude. Thanks to the good old Gulf Stream and Atlantic Ocean.
