  1. Some of the snow near Ludgershall/Andover looking fairly heavy. Probably a quick 1-2cm here? Very localised.
  2. Think I may have jinxed it, the M3 streamer seems to have died. There is some moisture over Buckinghamshire and around London, might transfer SW later (if it has any energy left by then).
  3. A bit more oomph to the snow further east. Falling moderately at the moment in NE Hampshire, and beginning to accumulate to more than just a dusting.
  4. Geography can be crucial with streamers. Any significant hills (let alone mountains) and its the end. Hopefully this streamer provides something of note for both of us. Fingers crossed.
  5. Anyone here based in Jersey? That low in N France getting close to Jersey, maybe some snow?
  6. I noticed that. Also maybe (?) indications of a streamer along the M3 as well. Not gonna get my hopes up being under that line.
  7. I was looking at that, M3 streamer? I don't wanna get my hopes up though.........
  8. Think I'm gonna call it a day on any more 'snow' west of the M25. Thames streamer dying fast and not getting much beyond the M25 at all now. Maybe there'll be some surprises later but doubtful.
  9. Maybe if we ask nicely, Dundee might give us some of their snow The Thames streamer is still there, but really needs to intensify to me of real note. Maybe the low over France moving east might do something to it (or the wind direction)
  10. The snow is very hit and miss, even in the more affected areas. Some places getting barely a dusting, a few miles up the road a few inches, for some even been snowed in. Check out the Scotland thread, some eastern parts (near Perth, Dundee) having snowmaggedon through today.
  11. Met Office updated again and really goes for it with a few hours of heavy snow this evening. in NE Hampshire. Either its wrong or the streamer will come to life further on into the evening. Need some more consistent greens and yellows before I'll be convinced, especially this side of the M25. On a sidenote, some models indicating a Kent clipper later tomorrow?
  12. Met Office have updated my local area with some heavy snow for a time this evening. (not sure if this means anything, mind) We'll see what happens with this streamer
  13. We need the snow to be heavier than it is. Seems to die once it gets past the M25.
  14. Hi-res models seem to have dropped the Thames streamer idea. I suspect more of the same this afternoon, very localised spots that get moderate snowfall for longer will get something decent. Otherwise more snizzle.
  15. Some very localised spots in this getting decent snow accumulations, otherwise more of the same. Snow floating around in the wind, dustings that don't stay around long.
  16. Anyone here based west of Uxbridge, south of the M40, maybe near Beaconsfield or Marlow? Seems to have been a fairly localised but consistent band of moderate snow for a little while, so curious about how much has fallen for you.
  17. Depends how much of the greens and yellows make it across London, it will be at least more persistent than yesterday so a decent covering. Will come down to locality, some areas more north or south maybe only getting a dusting or light covering.
  18. Winds have just gone to E/ENE in NE Hampshire! Hopefully some decent snowfall today, probably not anything close to areas further east but a few inches of snow by middle of the night tonight would be nice
  19. Snow light here in NE Hampshire at the moment. Hoping that the green makes it over to use to the south of London and doesn't die beforehand. Met Office seems to have updated the forecast for my area showing light snow all night, some areas to south of me even getting heavy snow for a good chunk of that. I wonder if they have cottoned onto the E wind due to the low moving over France. Good luck today anyone under that streamer!
  20. Met Office seem to have changed my weather forecast to show light snow for much of tonight here in NE Hampshire. Some parts south of me even getting heavy snow. Wondering if they are catching onto the Thames streamer as winds go more E. Still think radar watching is the best form of forecast in this case.
  21. Seems to be some moderate snowfall developing in the Southampton/Eastleigh area at the moment, another area also developing near Hog's Back from Godalming towards Farnham/Aldershot. Some sporadic light snowfall (perhaps streamers setting up) in some other areas too, along the M3/A303.
  22. Some developing moisture from a potential Thames streamer, as well as off the coast from the English Channel (maybe ahead of the low moving into N France). Could be some surprises for some in the morning. I suspect mainly south of the M4.
  23. Seems to be some moisture moving onto the south coast producing some snow, in SW Hampshire/Dorset, close to the New Forest/Poole and Bournemouth. Again I have to wonder if this is connected to the Thames streamer development.
