None in Deal, and according to all forcasts none likely to appear
That's no big Deal

It's going to be an amazing 10 - 15 days of coldness. Outside in the Croydon Borough, there is a dusting of snow in which will be treacherous as this will turn to ice. The MetO should have put the Greater London under a warning?
How many inches of snow has Croydon Borough Council been advised of this time? 50?

bring on friday

Ahh what could possibly be better than this wonderful bright sunshine and lovely clear blue sky. I feel so alive.

I visit these forums because I enjoy the 'speculation'.
The same way I like to read football transfer speculation in the papers, even though we know much of it is usually rubbish.
Torres to Man City? No way! A memorable week of extreme winter weather in the S.E?? Ermm.. Naahhh

Anyone else get the impression we're 'scraping the barrel' here?
-
I know some people are really excited about all this snow and I for one was one of them but now this is getting to be a more serious issue.
Sorry if this offends anyone
Janet
I am offended, shocked, appalled and humiliated.

Croydon Borough Council have been advised by the MetO to expect up to 10cm anytime from midnight. Let's see what materialises.
What is it with you and Croydon Borough Council. You said that on Friday aswell

Wow I thought my area had a Snowshield, if you are from SW Essex and you missed last February 1st Dumpings (which I know you did'nt as my mum and dad are from SW Essex) then that statement is just plain ridiculous. SW Essex maybe Upminster (They received 15cm) or maybe Brentwood, Epping (They received about 20cm) if that is not a "Dumping" then you are very hard to please.

You're right, that was a dumping, but an exceptional one of the kind we had not seen for 18 YEARS
Also, that was something that was CLEARLY forecast by the BBC, Met Office etc, advanced extreme warnings were issued 4 or 5 days earlier. It was not based on hopeful speculation.

Miserable!, try rude and what seems completely uncalled for.
Believe me, I could be very rude if I wanted to.
-
Without intending to sound so miserable, I've been hearing all of the above year after from you lot, and it invariably turns out to be complete overhype. 'Dumpings' become dustings if we're lucky! Sorry.. I admit i'm not a meteorological whizz, but just speaking from experience..

Those damn beach balls keep getting me excited.
I'm sure it will help produce an extra cm or two of the white stuff..

Heavy rain here so most of the suburbs should see a little snow
Rain? Really? I'm also in East London at the moment (Barking) and we have heavy snow, settling on some surfaces..
-
Ahhhh man I knew I'd miss it!
Is there any way of seeing a repeat on TV/online?
-
Evening, snowmaiden...... it was a bit of a let down today, wasn't it? But we never usually get any snow of any significance from any other direction than the East or North-East here. I wasn't surprised by the pathetic covering of.....ooooh, 1cm?, we got today at all.
LOL... London got 4 to 5 times more snow than Norwich!?

OOH OOH where's the next frame, WindWatcher??

It's very frustrating that The Times main headline looks like this: http://www.timesonline.co.uk and yet we're still full of much doubt and biting our nails.
