for anyone has hasn't seen it yet, here's a link to the NetWeather forecast for February courtesy of TWS............full of eastern promise!
We can't even predict weather 1-2 days in advance let alone get excited about Feb!

Flakes getting bigger here!!!! trying its best to settle
Yeah, just as it all clears away north on the radar!
-
What have I done?
Ahh, so that's what Paul S meant by "Chilly Milly".. I even googled it.
-
Dont know what Chilly Milly has done to deserve that but hey ho
Btw hows the bridge ? Bearing up after the winter
It's not bad, just don't tempt me to crawl out.

Do you really think the BBC Are going to forecast all the way ahead to next Tuesday to Thursday ?? Answer is Nope
But that was just a kind heads up for you, believe what you want to believe, but I am hopeful post 405 will be doing the rounds next week when temperatures on the ECM Are showing as 1c on Wednesday with frequent Snow Showers in a brisk North Easterly Brrrrrrrrrr
For what its worth your forecast should be spot on for the weekend, the far North Eastern part of Angular should miss out on any snow this weekend!

I've decided se London/nw Kent/swEssex borders has been the snow shield capital this winter- even the met yellow warning for Sunday covers everywhere north and east of here, like in January and February, week before last was all just too far south of us just takes the p***!!! I'm hoping for a nice surprise yet I can foresee a damp squib followed by the umpteenth slush fest of the winter, someone up there send it our way for a change
I very much agree. Apart from one particular day in January, we've either been just too far north, too far south, too far east, or too far west. We've had the full shebang and it's looking like a slippery slope again!
-
I hope things do work out well for us, but it's difficult to be optimistic about something so marginal. Even when things look nailed-on we still end up with egg on our faces, let alone in an uphill battle like this.
-
13 consecutive hours of heavy snowfall for Kent tonight/tomorrow?
Surely not, MetO.
-
Not worth sitting up hoping for a bit of snow which won't even be there in the morning. Enjoy!
-
Sorry to seem like a party pooper, but won't the rain that comes before the snow tomorrow mean nothing will settle anyway?
Not necessarily, but It would have to be very heavy snow. However the marginal temps would melt it by the morning anyway
-
Nice to see the upgrades this morning, however with daytime temps at 3 to 4C and nighttime temps not even getting below freezing, it's difficult to get excited about such a marginal and almost certainly short-lived event
-
My eyes are already looking more East than West.. Let's hope for a vintage Feb.
-
So much for the BBC's "Real-time snowcast", hasn't been updated for approaching 3 hours
-
still says 11.55 for me
Go to BBC Weather homepage and access it from there

13C in January? Does the British winter have no shame?
-
Cant see us getting much out of that area tomorrow evening can you?
Even if we do squeeze an hour of snow out of it (highly unlikely), it would only add about 0.5cm.. Not worth tracking that in my opinion
-
Surrey has earned every right to be talked about in the same breath as John Pike and Steve Murr
He said that the precip would back build and head back west again and looks like he has called it spot on
You're not serious are you? This snow's getting to some people's heads!
-
It's been an impressive day, but purely from experience in these kind of set ups I thoroughly expect a significant thaw throughout tomorrow.
-
Snow sliding off car windscreens, and then not re-settling on them. Never a good sign
-
I think the fact that the MetO have refrained from upgrading their warnings to Amber speaks volumes about the snizzly and probably less-disruptive nature of this snowfall
-
I think the radar (esp RainToday) is rather misleading in terms of intensity / snow depths.. Talk of 30cms+ is well wide of the mark.
-
I can see this event being similar to Friday.. Grainy snow which gives a measurable dusting to most of us, but not enough to prevent it melting by tomorrow lunchtime.
-
Trust me it will be cold enough.
Uppers are around -7c and the dew is well below freezing.
But isn't that what were saying about Monday?
*Retreats back into the cave under the bridge*

I guess we won't be seeing you in here again then!!
Maybe next winter but can't promise
Best of luck for the region until then.
Cheerio

Certainly a changeable spell of weather on the horizon, but I'm not convinced of any significant cold spell. A little bit hopeful particularly at this range.
