Shower activity seems to be a bit busier tomorrow afternoon with a scattering of snow showers. Has looked dry until today

I was born mid -late april many moons ago. The day i was born there were 2 or 3 inches of snow lying. Looking forward to watching a sharp temperature drop later. Always bring exciting weather with it.

Steady cold moderate/heavy rain, with sleet mixed in for the last 3 or 4 hrs. Last 30 mins has turned more to graupal mixed in rather than the oddd sloppy snow flake. Hard ice pellets... obviously the upper atmosphere conditions are changing.

I wouldnt rule out a surprise event for some. See what the numbers look like overnight and morning tomorrow. Enough cold air about. But the sun is modifying alot of air now. The models are toying with the idea

Tape measure out.. about 6cm Enough that all the local kids are playing in it. Theyve not seen more than 2 or 3 cm in their lifetime. This covered the grass and the pavements. we had about 3cm yesterday and about 1cm around 10pm last night which then melted. Accumilatively an impressive cold spell

Best snowfall in maybe 10 yrs. Maybe 6cm deep? Grass pretty much covered up.

I get the feeling the radar is going to re-blossom as the LP pivots out west. As in the showers currently fading over cheshire will re-emerge

Radar does not reflect the snow coming out the sky here Had 50p size to goose feather for the past 20 mins. With the dp falling we are now getting back to where we left off at 9am

Metoffice going for rain then heavy snow for a few hours for here... aligns with a few models. Then heavy snow later thru the night. I wonder if we will ever see potential transpire to reality.

The DP has been crucial today. The temp has been low all day, but as soon as the DP approached 0 its been a wet mess. DP is now falling so i suspect whatever falls later might stick again. DP was -2 or -3 yesterday resulting in fluffy blowing snow despite higher temps (4*c) Tonight is loaded with potential for pretty much all the region.. but most i feel will have problems getting a covering if the DP doesnt play ball.

One minute rain, the next snow, then nothing... then big flakes in sleet.... no consistency. Atmosphere is well mixed ill give it that. Feels like im wishing for a rain to snow conversion, despite this mornings snowfall. Very weird snow day.

DP startinf to drop. Fingers crossed that gets under 0 and start to dry the paths up a bit. Right now its been soaking since it went iver 0 about 2 hrs ago.

On and off moderate snow. Worth pointing out the flakes are different type, bigger. The radar it looks like this is a different front, maybe the warm front? It was meant to be occluded, but the radar oaints a different picture.

Focus turns to overnight activity now i think... if any of this stays around we cud have 1 or 2 spots in my garden with decent accumilative depth
