Heaviest now shower of the day up here now, not settling on the patio but the grass looks speckly green. Temp -1.2, dp -8.2 As i finish typing, it stops...

Right up at the northern tip of our region we have had a bright and very windy day with the odd blustery snowstorm mixed in. Plenty more showers packing in from the north sea but they are very localised. Temp is now falling away very quickly and is currently -0.3 with a dp of -8.5

A great month! I remember one morning trying to drive from Streatham in south west London to Catford, I left home at 8am and only made it half way by 11am, vehicles stranded everywhere. Turned around and got home at 3ish, mad!- 772 replies

Yes Hughsey, same here. Really did not expect 3 and a half hours snow though today and I have just a little inkling that this may not be the last fall of this winter. -

Hi PB, Drove to Weybridge this morning and used the M1 and couldn't believe how much snow was still laying in the fields in your neck of the woods. -

Snowing very lightly as these pictures show and it hasn't stopped snowing for the whole hour. 3.30 4.30 Not complaining though, 24 hours ago I didn't think I'd see any at all! -

Temp 0.8c here a drop of 0.3 in an hour, dp -3.1, an increase of 1.4 in an hour. Still snowing here, very light and blowing around in the wind. -

Temp steady here at 1.1c but dp has risen 0.4 in approximately half an hour. -

Small flakes but moderately falling here and starting to settle on the grass. Temp 1.1c, dp -4.5. -
2cm here in the far north of the region but still snowing, albeit very very lightly.

Interesting comments about rain to snow/snow to rain but as I reported earlier that it was raining in Nottingham, it is now pouring with..... heavy snow! Think I'm gonna go to bed and see what the morning brings. Edit. Thanks Dave, that could explain the snow up there at the mo' then.
