    Most glorious full arc double rainbow here an hour or so ago. Had one a couple of nights ago too in the same position. Beautiful.

    A dry night here .. we were hoping for some rain as things are getting very dry indeed. Hopefully there will be some showers today, the skies are looking grey. Otherwise we will have to do a lot of watering ... garden and allotment. * Please think of offering some ground water, safely placed, for the wildlife, birds, hedgehogs etc.

    Yes, very changeable early April here of late, sleet, hail, snow, gales, warm sunshine, overnight frosts .. You'll need a good vest on to sit out for a pint tomorrow I reckon. BL

    Huge squall woke me up just after midnight. The security light kept coming on. I don't think I've ever seen more torrential rain, absolutely full force hammering on the windows. The wind is howling outside now. Sorry no readings to give. B.

    Just saw Beverley mentioned on the BBC1 weather forecast, it was listed as having been -9 C overnight. About 7 miles away, in my village I have a reading of -4.1 C as I type. I think that's the coldest of the winter so far. B.

    That's just reached me .. I must be snow obsessed as I'm reading the threads here, watching the BBC1 forecast and the 'blizzard' outside all at the same time ! lol

    A major earthquake of magnitude 6.3 has hit Croatia near the capital Zagreb. Initial reports suggested the tremor caused widespread damage, collapsing roofs, facades and even some entire buildings.

    Hi all, loving your photos. Well done. We tried tonight, with a tripod and varying seconds of exposure but they all showed movement. How do counter that ?
