My whippet girl does such a good impression of true love that she has me hooked as her personal slave, lol. I don't know to be serious but she does stare 'lovingly' at me , comes for cuddles frequently and relaxes beautifully. She never wants me to leave her and is crest fallen if I'm at all displeased when she's done something wrong. She understands about 80 words too which makes for a good bond. I know I love her ever so much.

Yes, enjoyed a couple of sheltered sunbathing sessions in the back garden today with m'whippet.

Had to ration my sitting out time around lunchtime .. amazingly hot in the full sunshine. B.

Had an afternoon walk in the sunshine .. well wrapped up though. Just hearing some light hail against the window glass now.

I never wish for Spring snow it can be too harmful. The weather will do what it will of course.

Yes a really lovely day to be beside the sea Took a picnic and had a stroll with the dog. (A slight haze .. I hear we are suffering high pollution this last few days on the East coast.)

The sun just breaking through now after the foggiest start in a very long time. Looks set to be another lovely Spring day.

A huge 7.3-magnitude earthquake has hit Fukushima, Japan - triggering a tsunami warning as tremors were felt as far away as Tokyo. Terrified witnesses have said buildings were left shaking following what felt like two quakes, with the second lasting for around two minutes. Parts of the Japanese capital have endured power outages as a result. It is not yet clear if any people were injured following the quake, or the scale of damage caused.

Just back from a short walk and the gales were howling and buffeting me out of stride. Can't see any damage in my village so far. Fingers crossed we escape that.

The Humber Bridge, which links Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, will close to all vehicles and pedestrians from 13:30 GMT due to Storm Eunice. It's thought to be only the fourth time the suspension bridge has closed due to weather in its 40-year history. The bridge is likely to be closed for several hours, its operators said, and drivers face a diversion of about 60 miles.

Are we ready .. I am a few miles north of the Amber warning .. so, in the Yellow. Candles, storm lamp, primer stove, pre-cooked big pan of chicken curry lined up. Bins laid down in the garden. Pouring down with rain as I type. Yuk. BL.
