  1. Your original chart was for the 27th as was mine that’s the 26th, hopefully that clears it up for you
  2. It looks like it’s in retreat thou, but it is an eye catching feature
  3. Looks like the streamer over the lakes is building on its southern edge. Are the showers over wales running north east expected to make there way over the north west?
  4. Some kid of yellow spot on the sky which is blue today, no rain coat required
  5. Anyone know if the NetweatherStormRadar app for iPhone is having issues? I’ve used it for ages but for some reason the base map won’t load.
  6. Hard to measure how much snow has fallen due to the wind the 10-20 cm is about right thou
  7. Windows doing well keeping the heat in, all windows frostied over. lad made a snowman’s earlier had about 2 inches then all that’s covered over with more on top. Drifts are forming. Going to be an interesting morning I suspect lower areas will start to see snow pulling up to
  8. Looking at the xcweather site winds are starting to have a northerly component now
  9. Can’t tell how big the snow flakes are they are moving to fast, plus lots of snow blowing of the hill behind me
  10. light echos now on the radar but its heavier than before 2-3 inches on favourable surfaces all surfaces covered with at least a dusting
  11. Starting to settle on all surfaces it’s also been blowing about all day so I expect drifts in the open.
  12. 5cm on grass can’t get a hold on roads and pavements yet due to solar input. that’s a lot of PPN to come through
  13. looks like that area of PPN is the pivot point which is sliding east, that’s when the winds should swing to the north east
  14. south easterly winds across the region which is stifling snow just to the west of the Pennines. once the wind switched easterly then the shadow will move with it.
  15. For a front that’s meant to give large accumulations it looks very weak on the radar, even if it stalls unless of course it’s meant to intensify. I think we can ignore any large depths now even for the hills
  16. It didn’t up here during the day during the beast unless it was extremely heavy that’s with temps way below zero
  17. Interesting that moorside probably has less even at 300m local variations also mostly light stuff. only now is it thickening up again
