  1. No....that would totally go against what a red warning symbolises if I recall Red warnings are FLASH warnings
  2. You couldn't be any more wrong. The warnings are there to increase awareness of a possible severe weather event. They have been enforced perfectly.
  3. No, just no. Not long to go now, still looking very exciting especially for those of us further East.
  4. So 2.5 hours later, I have never ever seen a constant storm that delivered such persistent thunder, lightning, and torrential rain in my 22 years. Some pictures attached - the one with the largest swathe of water is the field outside my house- which is now a makeshift pool.
  5. Oh my word. This is quite incredible - we've missed the majority over the last 24 hours but this has truly made up for it. Under a swathe of torrential echos.
  6. We're about to be battered. Sky is almost black, many a year since seen this.
  7. Weather warning out for us, Lincs, Derbyshire etc for a couple cm's overnight... not sure about convective activity this far south though myself.
  8. Snow has turned heavier here and all surfaces going white once more.
  9. Light snowfall here, dusting on pavements... perhaps 2 or 3 cms on grass and other favoured surfaces.
  10. Just wet pavements here in Newark unfortunately, perhaps a cm or two on grass and other favored surfaces.
  11. It's actually going to intensify over the next few hours, should begin to become apparent in the next few runs.
  12. Heavy snowfall has finally arrived here once more, beginning to readily stick to most surfaces, too.
  13. Wet ground has VERY little impact on settling snow contrary to popular belief, just so ya' know.
  14. He's doing a damn sight more than the Labour onionse that was in before him for the working classes. Anyway, back on topic... light snow falling here now.
  15. Not really, it's going exactly as planned right now.
  16. Highlights the current marginality perfectly.
  17. We've actually been under that area of PPN that's formed over Notts/Derbyshire with nothing falling from the sky.
  18. "The models, and the radar perhaps?" That's a factual response and explanation to your post.
  19. I'm just guiding you on where you can understand the situation- you did say you can't see where it's coming from, I'm telling you where you can see it.
  20. The models, and the radar perhaps? Do some reading.
  21. At what intensity Ryan? Just about to arrive here once more...
  22. Welcome to the forums. I think we're all in for an exciting evening.
  23. Moderate snowfall continues here, has been the case since around 3/4am but no signs of settling.
  24. Everywhere 20 miles to our West has a dusting at minimum, with a good covering in and around the villages near Nottingham- sleet turned into snow here around 3am and has continued to fall ever since, however no settling on any surfaces as yet. What a difference a few miles can make.
  25. Rotating mixture of sleet and very wet snow here for the past hour or two, certainly remaining as snow for longer periods now- everything very wet though. A great bonus for the end of March, nevertheless.
