  1. Fairly happy with the way things look to be honest- a few hours moderate/heavy snowfall before the milder air wins out- a nice way to wrap this cold spell up. Just enjoy the ride.
  2. I don't personally see anything wrong with that whatsoever.
  3. Light snow shower passing through here. Not holding out a great deal of hope for tomorrow.
  4. Turned much heavier here... really not sure how long we're going to hold onto the precipitation here- another hour, or even 5 wouldn't surprise me. Radar watching.
  5. I genuinelly can't see the heavier PPN making much more headway further North now the Easterly flow is cutting in, despite a pivot a slide Westward seems logical.
  6. Heaviest snowfall of this event underway now- radar has looked a little better last couple of runs.
  7. Just beginning to settle on favoured surfaces here now, radar looks good for Western and Southern Mids, not great for more than a dusting here.
  8. Light to moderate snowfall here, transition to snow only completed around half an hour ago though.
  9. Should be no major travel issues away from much higher routes.
  10. The (somewhat delayed) transition to snow is complete here- moderate fall now underway, should be enjoyed for a good few hours yet.
  11. Is nobody paying any attention to what has been forecast all along from the MetO and BBC? Stalling and pivoting throughout the evening and becoming lighter and more patchy. Absolutely spot on.
  12. That very much depends where your main attentions are, frankly. MetO seem to have pretty much called this dead on, with 2-4cm's (many reports in Mids, Yorkshire, & Central Southern England with these totals already) likely fairly widely and local falls of 10cm's+, as my previous post suggested. Great forecasting on what was always going to be an extremely difficult event to predict.
  13. Can't see anything more than a dusting here, but with the front pretty much stalled now some lucky low lying areas will see the projected 10cm+ falls if they are current;y under some of the heavier echoes- as they are likely to remain so for several hours to come.
  14. Another absolutely ridiculous post. How about you chill out, and wait and see? It's going as forecast and the 'event' (whether large or small) hasn't even begun yet, away from higher ground.
  15. I think you need to take another look at the forecast.
  16. Turned noticeably more to sleet here in the last half an hour, under moderate precipitation. I dare say the transformation to (initially) wet snow will be complete with the next hour or two here, with temps beginning to tumble.
  17. You realise that's exactly what will happen with this set up? They've forecasted it perfectly, they cannot give anymore detail as snowfall amounts will range drastically in ranges as short as 5 miles apart!
  18. It's going completely as planned, temps are where they should be for midday Sunday- as forecast. So much misinformation in this thread.
  19. You realise it's going EXACTLY as forecast right now? It's 10.43am on Sunday morning, Jeez...
  20. Going as forecast right now. Haven't seen their front page, but wet and 3-4C is what was expected at this time of day.
  21. Shouldn't be relying on precip charts at +6 hours anyway, pointless. The radar is your most reliable tool now.
  22. That's a common misconception- ground saturation has little effect on settling snow providing the snow itself is not wet.
