Decided to have a bit of retail therapy with me and Tilly today (little fella at nursery all day)
Tilly decided to scream down Next (I think it was comment on the clothes in there) then fell asleep in the car en route to Waitrose. I've got quite snobby (mainly due to Mr Loo) and have chosen Waitrose over Tesco, mainly because they have nicer food in the cafe.
I say nicer food but equally awful staff. Every week Mr Loo makes comments on the Manageress who ends up re-stocking the hot cross buns etc while oblivious to the customers. Today she was clearing tables while her staff did very little.
After feeding little lady, I stood to get some French Onion soup. I stood and stood and stood. One lad was busy with his Panninis and the woman was moving stacks of plates. After she had moved 2 stacks I started to clear my throat in a loud way. The Pannini lad asked her who was on that section "I don't know, I'm not doing it, I've got these to move" to which I lost it a little and said "oh fine, if you don't want to serve me I'll just go shall I"
I was so annoyed I ended up going to customer services. They were really shocked and genuinely concerned. Eventually she came back after giving them a verbal kick in and asked if I minded accepting a £5 gift voucher for my stress Would I mind  I'll complain every week if that's what I get

    It never rains, it pours
After the new windscreen on my car (£75) I noticed a lot of insect activity outside the front door today
Turns out that we have a bees nest above our front door Because of the location, it can't be relocated so they will have to kill the bees Called Environmental Health who say it's a minimum of £60
I like bees and would always avoid harming them but when they are swarming around my front door and trying to get into the house I change my mind

I feel like I'm on a very long rollercoaster, sometimes up, sometimes down
I try to be jolly and think we will soon sell our house and then we can look for something down in Devon. Then I get on a downer cos I have to pay £75 excess for a new windscreen
I know it's only money and that's not what gets me, it's just one bad thing after another at times
I think my hormones are getting back to usual after having Tilly, my hair is starting to fall out in great handfuls (when you are pregnant you don't produce one of the hormones which make your hair naturally fall out, hence lovely thick hair)
Things will get better, especialy when the sun starts shining a bit more. I should be thankful I have two lovely kids and a wonderful hubbie
    Rant over

Well I spoke too soon about Tilly and being ok after her jabs
This afternoon she was really upset, not sleeping, eating and generally being out of character for a few hours I ran the doctors to check if they wanted to see her and they said just bring her down straight away.
When we got to the docs, after 10 mins of screaming the place down, she started smiling
Doc reckons she has had a mild reaction to the jabs that has just made her legs a bit sore after the jabs.
So lots of Calpol and a nice relaxing bath (for her not me) and she was a bit better. Whilst drying her off I had a wee peek in her mouth. It seems that apart from the molar coming out sideways in her mouth, she now has another 2 molars coming through she's not even 4 months old  (she has no front teeth though)
Anyway, hopefully she will have a good night

3rd set of jabs yesterday for Tilly and boy did she scream
I was worried because she was a bit grizzly last time but she's been ok, if a bit sleepy
I have to get little fella his pre-school jabs but I too chicken to take him at the mo
Driving past our local shop I saw the advertising board for the local paper "Woman's pothole protest" but due to me concentrating on cars coming the other way and the wire mesh put in front of those headlines, I read it as "Woman's profiterole protest" It gave me a lovely mental picture of Wibs and OON and put a big smile on my face
  6. Cakie
    Really tired at the mo
Lots of stress with the house selling/move. I only hope the new estate agents are better than the last lot
This afternoon I tripped on Tilly's Baby Nest and thankfully landed just to the side of her but in doing so managed to hurt my shoulder and my elbow on my left side (think I made it worse avoiding Tilly) It's strange how something that seems not so bad can really hurt for a long time afterwards

In the spirit of trying to sell the house, I decided to buy some curtains for the Kitchen/dining room.
Went into the metropolis of Cheltenham and bought some. Not too expensive but nice and House Doctory
Got them home and later in the afternoon started asking Mr Loo where they were "you mean you want to put them up now" ......me "erm, yes"
Got one of them out and offered it up, too short I checked the packet, right size pulled the other from the packet and it was longer
Ended up going back to the shop and getting some other ones (last in the shop, I wonder why  )
Managed to plant up lots of bedding plants and hope next week will bring some buyers

Well we decided to take advantage of being in the Cotswolds and do the touristy thing this weekend.
Went to the Cotswold Wildlife Park on Sunday, which was very good until the heavens opened and put a quick finish to our day.
Also went to see mum-in-law, who lives in Crowborough, nr Tunbridge Wells. Hubbie sort of invited himself, as his sister was going. We haven't seen her in 3 years and when she turned up she was in tears....but not because she was glad to see us
It's a long story but for some reason before we got married, she's been a bit....wound up about life. She's had a lot of worries but it makes me (personally) feel a bit uncomfortable around her. Mind you, little fella managed to crack her misery and ended up having her charging round the garden with him

Well finally I have the place to myself
After a week of my mum and auntie (dad's sister) I have a (reasonably) quiet house
How can two 60+ women make so much noise/mess Two small children don't make that much mess My aunt was really helpful, dispite not having had any children but my mum...........
Oh well it's easter this weekend and will have a bit more time with hubbie and children doing (hopefully) nice things
I've kicked the existing estate agent into touch today (14 days notice) and have got the local lot on the case, so hopefully we will get a bit more interest in the house.
Little princess is responding quite well to the medication for reflux (touch wood), I even managed to get a cheery picture out of her the other day

Oh blimey, I was out of my little mind to invite both my mum and my auntie to stay this week
Me and my mum have a strained relationship at the best of times and my auntie is soooo straight laced it's untrue  She got embarassed by photos of little fella being weighed just after he was born
The good news is that mum painted Tilly's room for me (mad lots of mess but it's painted  ) and auntie has discovered that kids don't spontainiously combust in her presence and I think she quite enjoys little fella's company In fact she's offered to look after little fella while I take Tilly to baby clinic tomorrow

    Went to Bristol today
First reason was to got to IKEA, which was not pleasant but necessary
Second reason was to go to a science park place in the centre.....explore @ Bristol , quite good and would have been very good had Princess Tilly not screamed her head off for most of the time we were there
Anyway, it seems she is teathing She's only just turned 3 months but she most definately has white bumps comiing through her gums  (a small part has broken through already)
  12. Cakie
Today has been a very busy day with doctors and hospital appointments
It turns out that little fella has selective hearing, which I new already but previous nursery thought he had a problem
On our return, little fella wanted to take some photos, so for a limited period you can have some photos of me and little ones Be kind, I've yet to lose the baby blubber <_<
  13. Cakie
Today was Princess Tilly's 2nd lot of jabs.
The first went ok but today she seems to be a little upset She's had a dose of Calpol and hopefully it will not affect her any further tonight
It's been such a going on with the reflux thing that I try not to get to wound up about this as well. Since having the Gaviscon she's been much better, smiling and gurgling like she should do. I've managed to convince the Health Visitor that I'm not going doolally but that it's perfectly normal to be a bit stressed considering all the s*** I've been going through recently <_<
Oh well, it's Easter soon.....excuse to eat lots of choccie eggs
  14. Cakie
Well Tilly seems to have reflux, which is where the muscle at the top of the stomach isn't strong enough to stop milk and stomach acid going back up and causing lots of pain.
I thought it was just me being over sensitive but I think she really does have it now So it's a case of trying to give her Baby Gaviscon on a regular basis <_<
On a more cheerful front, I've managed to get some tunes onto my pod and the sound quality is amazing  Sell your car, sell your house, sell your granny but buy an ipod
  15. Cakie
I thought I had cracked Tilly's sleep/feeding schedule but today she proved me wrong
Screamed her head off all the time I had planned to do a bit of retail therapy. I tried everything but to no avail <_<
Anyway, it seems that I am right in that they now think she has Reflux, which basically means the muscles at the top of her stomach are not strong enough to stop little bits going back up and causing her pain with acid She is now on baby Gaviscon
Tomorrow is the start of trips to the hospital. Little fella's hearing tomorrow, which could be interesting as he will say "what"/"why" all the time
  16. Cakie
Today has been a bit of a sad birthday, for the first time ever I have had no pressies to open
Got some Next vouchers from mum-in-law but nothing else
Hubbie is out of the country but promises to buy me an ipod in Duty free for my birthday
The good thing was that little people have been very well behaved today and were both in bed for 6.30pm  Tilly Bea even smiled and gurgled for me
Piccies are of Tilly smiling (sort of <_< ) and hubbie's flowers

    Escaping Cheltenham tomorrow
Off down to Devon to check out various possible locations to move to. It's strange yet again as I have never been to the area before (except the other week before hubbie accepted the job)
Princess Tilly has given me a very hard weekend but I hope we are turning the corner now and the future is full of smiles
Oh and Religion according to a 4 year old (no offence to anyone who is religious)
    "what are you doing Milo?"
"I'm trying to do a cross on your head"
    "why"
"because that's what the other's do" (at nursery)
    "oh, ok"
"It's because Jesus did it, then he got mad and ponged himself up in the air onto the big red cross"
    "oh, ok"
My appologies for the lack of response but I just didn't know quite what to say <_<
  18. Cakie
Well with the house now on the market, I am now forced to try to keep the house in a reasonable state of tidyness. A mean feat with a 4 year old and a baby
So far we have had 3 viewings, unsure how they went really but will find out more next week. The first 2 viewings were accompanied, the last we did, as the agents were unable to do it. The first 2 were in and out in 10 mins, the last took over 20 mins  I don't think estate agents always have your best intentions at heart <_<
The Cheltenham festival begins next week and I have been informed that it's a bit of a nightmare traffic wise, so we are escaping for a couple of days down to Devon

Had a stressful time this weekend <_<
Princess Tilly has been a bit of a pain going to sleep. It's strange in that little fella was a dream going to sleep but used to spend the afternoon screaming his head off with colic. She seems to want to be cuddled all the time
Today I just fed her when she wanted and didn't stress too much about sleep times and she fed and fed and fed  It was at reasonable intervals but fed loads. But the good news was that she went to sleep at 7.10pm without a peep
I hope this is the start of some progess in the feed/sleep front
  20. Cakie
Well almost to prove a point to the doctor, Princess Tilly decided that she was going to smile in response to smiles to her today It's such a lovely thing and makes you all lovey dovey
Despite having her jabs yesterday, she was really good last night. Went to sleep at 6.30pm (bit early) woken at 10.45pm, went to sleep at 11am and then woke at 6am <_<
Didn't try to get her back to sleep but got little fella to nursery for 8am, first time ever
Still tired and looking forward to a laxy weekend
  21. Cakie
Today was Princess Tilly's first set of jabs and boy did she not like them
She calmed down after a while but it's so horrible to watch when she's looking up at you "why you doing this to me mummy"?
She's been ok (touch wood) was a bit grizzly this afternoon but wee bit of Calpol and she calmed down. She has even gone to sleep without any fuss tonight
The doctors/health visitors round here seem hell bent on making me paranoid The doctor mentioned about Tilly's head being slightly unsymetrical and wanted to make sure it's checked at the next set of jabs <_< I said I was not worried as Little fella had a weird looking head that made him look like he had been hit by a spade and still has a slight flat bit
Had first viewing on the house. Woman was in and out in minutes and wanted a separate dinning room rather than our kitchen diner, so I'm not sure it's for her but it's early days
  22. Cakie
    Well not literally
Princess Tilly has been a very sleepy baby but recently has had a bit of a problem going to sleep on a night time
Little fella was a dream getting to sleep, come 7pm he would have crawled upstairs himself if he could
Last night was a total nightmare, with constant screaming  Eventually got her to sleep at midnight <_<
Tonight we had a gentle, quiet bath, then read stories (to little fella) but still she decided to scream the house down. So, after changing/burping her, I left her, and left her and left her. I started off leaving her for a few mins, then 5 mins then 10 mins. Really, really hard to follow through but when I finally left her for 10mins and watched the clock, she stopped She then moaned for 30 seconds but gave up
    The joys of motherhood

Today saw the first of 3 estate agents coming to value our house.
Why are they all so similar (no offence to estate agents) I would like to think accountants coming in many different personalities (Mr Crazy Snowfan being one )
Anyway, his valuation was not too bad considering we have only been here 3.5 months but their fee is 1.75%, which seems high compared to when we sold last. I shall wait to see what the others quote
Hubbie is busy finishing off the bathroom before starting his new job (he's looking forward to going back to work for a rest ) and I'm busy painting when Princess Tilly allows me <_<
Off to buy a LCD TV for the bedroom tomorrow Our bedroom is quite small and would look better with one (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it )
  24. Cakie
Well, after moving last November it seems as though we have to move again
Hubbie's company has gone into administration after 2 months of being down here <_< and his new job is down in Devon so here we go
Another round of sorting the house out and uncertainty
