Well today has been a bit of a boring day for me. Catch up on a bit of sleep. I can cope for so many days of having broken sleep but then it just hits me and I have to wave the little white flag of submission and go to bed
Made a Chocolate Coca cola cake this afternoon  It tastes really nice but i have yet to put the frosting on it.......will report back the finished result
Good news is that hubbie has got his redundancy payment through, which while only being the government minimum, it still makes his bank balance more healthy and means he can pay me back what I lent him (don't worry, I've been online and repaid it already <_< )
Little fella is back at Nursery school next week so should get more chance to relax

We ventured south today to Devon
Me, Mr Loo, Grandma Loo, Milo and Tilly
First we decided to stalk Wibs in Taunton, to no avail
Then we took a brief tour of other areas of Devon.
I could tell you why we were down in Devon but I would have to kill you if I told you <_<

Had a bad old day with Princess Tilly <_<
For some reason she has decided to either feed or cry all day  Even though I went through my son's extreme colic, I still get wound up and do all the wrong things
I think I'm going to have to leave her with hubbie and mum-in-law and bottle for an hour or so tomorrow to force her to not feed every 2 hours
Good news is that I have my car back and it cost slightly less than expect
Who knows, by the weekend we might get to the pub

    What a day
Had about 2 hours sleep between Tilly having a colicy night and me coughing
Decided to go out to buy something nice for tea to cheer me up. Started to reverse the car and there was an almighty grinding sound and the car did not seem level
Turns out the one of the springs has snapped and was digging into the tyre. It can't be driven and the garage quoted £90 just to recover it  so we upgraded our AA cover to homestart for £68 and got it taken to the garage
I've no idea how much it's going to cost
Heyho, at least it's stopped raining <_<

Well it's been a busy old time the last week or so.
How can 2 children be so different. Milo used to hate being cuddled and hardly sleep but Tilly wans to be cuddled all the time and sleeps most of the day <_<
She's good most of the time but has her moments  It's amazing how you forget how much hard work babies are She is a little cutie though and I can't believe she is almost 6 weeks old
Looking forward to mum-in-law coming next week. It's half term, so Milo will be wanting a bit more attention than usual, so it will be nice to have a bit of help on the attention front
Anyway, not much else to report. Very boring in the Cotswolds (except for helicopters trying to land on the roof )
  6. Cakie
Well Hubbie is going for interviews all over the place.
Although there is a possibility of local job, it looks likely that, after only 3 months here, it is likely that we will have to move again
    So, where next
We are frantically doing what needs to be done to the house incase we are to move <_<
Princess Tilly has a liking for 4am in the morning  but on the whole is very good. Having said that, a max of 4 hours sleep a night is starting to take affect and I am not a happy bunny at the moment.
Thankfully my mum-in-law is arriving next week, so hopefully I will get a bit of a restbite

Well after my last few entries, I thought I had better have a slightly more cheerful entry. So here goes with a piccie of my little princess <_<
Feel free to come up with a caption

Today was the day of my grandma's funeral
It's been a long day, as I went to my brother's house last night to travel up with him today
I left Milo behind. He is too young to understand and is still not totally over his illness yet. But I took Tilly-Bea, who was fantastically well behaved dispited having lots of disruption slept really well feeding at 11pm, 3am and then 7.30am
It was a lovely service, with the minister talking very beautifully about my grandma but my youngest brother spoke about her, talking about his memories of cooking, ginger biscuits etc and everyone said that it just was her through and through  She was always a fantastic lady, who had time to spare, if not much money to spare. We used to love making dens out of the clothes airers and blankets in the back yard and would prefer that to any trendy game/toy <_<
Strange that I thought to myself that every place I have worked they have said in leaving cards "we will miss the ginger biscuits" She would be proud

I found out tonight that my grandma, who was 99 last friday, passed away last night
My dad's mother, she was soooooo lovely. A spirited woman but always had time for people
I saw her just over a week ago when she saw Tilly-Bea for the first time. She was over the moon but still made a fuss of Milo to make sure he did not feel left out
I'm sad I will not see her again but know that to be half the person she was would be a fantastic achievement
A toast - To my grandma, the most loving, down to earth person I have ever known <_<

Well I was really brave last night and went out for a social night organised by the Nursery/Primary school PTA for the Mums.
It was ok, if a bit clickie (sp) with lots of well to do mothers who were wife to the Chief of police etc and sort of went quiet when I said that Little fella would not be going to Reception in September but his local school  I peed a few mums off when they realised I'd had a baby less than 3 weeks ago and I was I darn site slimer than they were <_< (still size 12/14 but nicely proportioned )
Tilly-Bea was fantastic, she had a feed before I left at 7pm and did not stir until I woke her up at 11pm  She then slept until 3am when daddy fed her with the bottle I prepared for her incase and slept until 8am when I had to seriously wake her up
Hubbie has finally finished plumbing in the bath (with a few choice expletives about the plumbing of the house  ) and Little fella & he christened the bath tonight
Little fella has his (belated) 4th birthday party tomorrow at at playarea tomorrow. I'm a bit concerned that there are mainly girls going What age do you have sex education these days
  11. Cakie
Well, it's not totally unexpected but hubbie came home tonight to tell me he is now unemployed, made redundant, factory closed
I had an expectation of it but after 9 years of working for the company it's still a little bit of a shock  The annoying thing is that all pay, holiday pay is now paid at minimum wage rate
I'm trying to be upbeat and look to the positive but I feel I am the only breadwinner at the mo
I could get really annoyed and upset that we relocated (and have yet to get the £4K owed to us <_< ) I've told hubbie that I don't care if we re-locate to France or wherever
Look positive - at least I might get the bathroom sorted

    I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo tired today
I went up North with Milo and Tilly on Saturday to see my Grandma who is not too well. She's 99 on Friday but had a bad fall and is now laid up in bed but she was over the moon to see Milo and have a cuddle of Tilly
Unfortunately Milo's little snivel turned into full blown Man Flu when we were staying at my mum's  So I had 2 very sleepless nights with my mum snoring in the other room, Milo telling me that he needed to blow his nose every hour during the night. Only Tilly managed to get some sleep <_<
Came back yesterday through awful weather and got home just in time for Milo to open his birthday pressies (he's 4 - how time flies)
Managed to give Tilly a bath in the disaster zone of our bathroom Hubbie spent the weekend ripping out the old bathroom and tiles to put the new bath suite in. He did warn me it was not connected, so I had to buy a baby bath on the way back so she could have a bath when we got back. It's an interesting experience trying to dry off a baby surrounded by bits of pipes, spanners etc
Hubbie also gave me some not too good news about work last night but I shall save that lovely news for another blog entry
  13. Cakie
I was very naughty today and bought Princess Tilly a dress and little pink tights
I know babies should wear babygrows for the first few months but she needs one dress for special occasions <_< The dress is far too big, even though it's a 0-3 months and the tights look like Nora Battie's
We are going up North to see my Grandma, who had a bad fall last week and is in a lot of pain and I thought we would cheer her up  She loves Milo to bits and I just know she will fall in love with Tilly
Here is a picture of Milo with his little sister in her new dress (he's not got lipstick on, he's got sore lips from the weather  )

Finally we have the house to ourselves
My mum came down to "help out" when I came out of hospital. She was waiting at the door when we got back
I've always had 'issues' with my mum, who seems to take pleasure the negative side of life I won't go into detail but she was not at all helpful and ended up winding me up to the point I had to leave the house a couple of times to calm down <_<
I managed to get her to go back home yesterday and all she did was complain to my brother that I would not let her help out    (she didn't lift a finger ) It could have been worse, as she was intending to stay for 2 to 3 weeks I found out
Anyway, she is no longer here and we can now concentrate on being a family and enjoying our children
We have decided that MiniLoo is to have the official name Matilda Phoebe but she is know to us a Tilly-Bea or Princess Tilly
She is pretty well behaved and when she gets rid of her "stork bites" on her eyes, I will post a piccie
  15. Cakie
Well what a busy time I've had since my last entry
MiniLoo has arrive but yet to be given an official name. We are deliberating two different ones but have to decide which is to be the first and second name
Most of the time she is very quiet but she has some moments of mega shreaks Girls seem very different to boys and I don't remember little fella being quite so scary
She has mild jaundice but nothing to worry about, apart from a slight dodgy looking tan
We were brave today and got the pram out to go for our first walk into town. Seems like we are a bit of a celebrity in the village, as quite a few people mentioned that we were in the paper yesterday
We are off to Cirencester tomorrow so that Milo can buy his little sister a belated xmas pressie and his sis can buy him one
  16. Cakie
Oh I am soooooooooo bored at the mo
Can't do much without getting really tired/sore. Went swimming with little fella this morning which was quite nice to relieve some of the weight I'm lugging around at the mo
I was looking forward to a nice tea of Steak with Dauphinenous (sp) potatoes but hubbie is out sorting his eldest son out (very long and annoying story ) so looks like we will have to have it tomorrow
Well tomorrow is New Year's Eve and a time to reflect on the year past and the year forward.
The year past has been one of the most stressful but I hope I have learnt a lot from it and not to fall into the same mistakes in future I've had some fantastic support from some of my fellow NW chums, which has kept me from going under at times - a big thank you to all (even the sarcastic ones )
The year forward will hopefully be a busy one for me, with sleepless nights but lots of happiness

Whilst I usually like snow, it's making me a bit jumpy at the mo
Although Mervin is not due for another few weeks, I keep getting the feeling there might be an early appearance
I went to see the Midwife today who reckons it could be iminent but could still be a way off She told me that if the snow gets bad (the A40 is often shut with snow) then they have a 4x4 they can send to get me, otherwise she will have to walk round and it would be a home birth
I've finally got round to packing my bag but don't feel I will ever be ready for what lies ahead, dispite having done it once before
I'm sure everything will just be fine in the end (I hope )

We were brave and went to Bristol on Monday in search of Ikea, baby stuff and flat screen TVs
I was pleasantly supprised that Ikea was virtually empty We bought a bit of stuff, shelves etc.
We also bought some bits for Merv, change mat etc but have yet to buy a cot (can't decided between a cot and cotbed) but not to worry as Merv will sleep in the carrycot bit of the pram for the first few weeks.
Then went to look at the "bargins" in the twinkling metropolis of Currys/Comet etc. We have been looking to replace our aging TV and hoped that the LCD TVs would be greatly reduced after xmas but no joy, they were pretty much the same price Having got back home, I've now found them loads cheaper on the internet so I think we will order one
Little fella went to play with one of his school mates yesterday, which made me realise what a fantastically well behaved young chap I have Also made me feel a bit stingy as to what we spent on presents, they had tons and tons of stuff, must have cost £100s But having said that, they were just wrecking half of it
Taking things easy at the moment, I'm starting to feel really slow and huge at the mo, so taking people's advice and putting my feet up when I can

I am so impatient about opening pressies, not for me but I want to see what everyone else has got
Just returned from a brief visit up North to see relatives and exchange sacks of pressies. We were supposed to be returning with 2 kids but they are ill, so quiet Christmas with me, hubbie and little fella (and Mervin kicking away)
Really looking forward to Christmas day, although little fella was sort of into it last year, he is at a much better age to get really excited about things
Anyway, better get wrapping the last of the pressies
Merry Christmas everybody and have a drink on me

Went to the local playgroup with Little Fella yesterday and it was their Christmas Party. I knew one of the mums, who offered to look after little fella while I went to have my Vitamin B12 injection and nipped home to wrap a pressie for Santa to give to him.
When I returned 20 mins later he had his arm around some girl and she had her arm around him. They were inseparable all morning and were found in a cupboard together later Her mother was ok about it and has even invited us to come over for a coffee sometime over xmas.
Went to see the consultant in the afternoon and when she finally dug out my results of my kidney scan, decided that she did not like the look of it and wants to bring forward when Mervin is going to arrive They like to leave things as long as possible but I think it's going to be sooner than the original plan If things get really bad over xmas they will inject me with steriods and then........I don't want to think about it
Oh well, Merv will arrive whenever and so long as he's healthy, then I will be happy
Managed to get a carseat off one of the mums from my old childminder. It's a really good one and will save me £100 so I'm very happy. She didn't want any money for it so I've bought her a big tin of Quality Street to say thank you when we see her later in the week. I just hope we can get presents, carseat and children in the car on our return from up North later this week

It was little fella's Nativity yesterday, he was a cow. So me and hubbie when to do the dutiful parent bit. I must admit to getting a bit emotional with it all (I blame the hormones )
In true Nativity fashion, various children waved to parents when they shouldn't and Mary dropped baby Jesus But it was really sweet
We had all of hubbies workmates round for drinkies and it went really well, even if I did stand up for too long and suffered for it later
I've found out that I am seriously deficient in Vitamin B12, this is usually a complain of people a little bit older than me but sometimes this just happens. Anyway, I am having a course of 5 injections to boost me up while they find out why I am so low. I've had 2 so far and they hurt loads, it's like injecting a thick syrup into your arm but hopefully it will stop me feeling so lousy
  22. Cakie
    Yesterday had yet more scans.
This time I actually got to see the screen when they were looking at my kidney. My right kidney is now looking very swollen. I can't remember how bad the measurements were last time but my left kidney pelvis measurement is approx 5mm and the right is 40mm
The good news is that Merv seems to still be at least 2 weeks bigger than the dates, which makes him around 36 weeks. I have to see the specialist next Monday and hopefully they will have some sort of game plan as to what we are going to do next
I decided that I better go and get my hair cut just in case things happen a bit sooner than January For once I quite like it, it's a bit shorter than usual but much more practical with a busy time ahead.
I'm a bit cheesed off with the hospital stuff but I had bad news last night from someone which made me realise that I should be thankful for my lot, as someone else is not having a nice christmas this year (my thoughts are with them)
  23. Cakie
Unfortunately Merv is a bit of a night owl and keeps practicing Kick Boxing The last 2 nights I've been lucky to get 3 hours sleep
My Glucose tolerance test came back as normal range but I'm still waiting on blood tests for abnormal red blood cells, liver function etc Then it's another ultrasound on Monday. Oh well, at least they are looking after me
Officially I have 6/7 weeks left until D-day but the growth scan showed that Merv is at least 2 weeks bigger than he should be and the Midwife measures 3 weeks bigger, so I'm keeping prepared for early arrivals
Having had an awful labour last time I am keen to try to be a bit more active this time. I quite like the idea of a water birth but the hospital only has one pool so I don't want to get my hopes up only to find out that it's busy when I get there I must also admit to liking the idea of an epidural, I don't like pain and don't feel the need to prove anything this time
Need to make a list of baby things I need to get. Dispite having had a child already, we seem to be lacking in basics like a baby car seat, cot etc (hubbie was a bit ruthless in the move )
  24. Cakie
Well having spent the morning in the hospital, I get back to find a letter from the consultant wanting yet more tests No wonder the NHS is strapped for cash - I'm using up all the budgets
It appears my red blood cells are too big and I could be lacking B12 or have an underactive thyroid gland Plus they want to check I don't have a kidney infection
This morning was such fun Take some blood then made to drink a container of orangy coloured liquid which tasted like flat, sweet lucozade and looked like a pot of wee Sit for 2 hours watching daytime TV, then more flippin blood Mind you Mervin enjoyed his high energy drinking session this morning
Good news is that we should be getting Broadband soon, so no more trailing wires everywhere
  25. Cakie
Well the house is starting to look more like our own
We have painted the top half of the kitchen/dinning room and the sitting room. Hubbie has spent most of the day cursing and banging getting our oh so sexy silver and shiny black shelving system up
Little fella has been chucked into Mervin/spare room, so I can paint his room before the new carpets arrive
We went to the Maternity unit today for a guided tour to find nobody there Eventually a kind midwife offered to give us a quick look around. It seems very nice As we left we bumped into a group of 20 odd people on "the tour". Where on earth these people had been hiding is a mistery
Hey ho, off back there again tomorrow for a Glucose tollerance test Over 3 hours of sitting around having blood extracted, being forced to drink tons of yukkie stuff
My quest for the week is to find a large white teeshirt for little fella and some black fabric paint so he can be a cow in the Nativity play
