After a stressful few weeks, we have managed to get another buyer for the house
They have a small chain, so hopefully it shouldn't be too painful this time The bonus is that their offer is higher than the previous people, so we will have a bit more money to play with B)

Today we had to escape the house for 2 viewings (both by the same people ) so off we went to Tesco to top up the Milk stocks etc.
Bought little fella some vitamin tablets (his eating habits at the mo leave a little to be desired ) and he shook them around the store happy as Larry.
At the checkout I chose a chap who looked really bored. To be fair he was very nice.....a bit too nice He was very nice but then I realised that he could infact be my son, which made me quite depressed
Anyway, distraction over, little fella shook his vitamins at me as we were about to leave He had held on to them , so I had go back and pay for them. I apologised for my son's attempt at shoplifting to which the woman said I was too honest and most would have just walked out and not come back.
When we returned from holiday I discovered that we had accidently taken one of their towels Hubbie has told me I am NOT allowed to post it back to them but I am racked with guilt everytime I open the airing cupboard
    I'm too honest B)

Yesterday we went to Tewksbury to see a re-enactment of a 13th century battle. Apparently it's one of the biggest in Europe
So there were 2000 people taking part in the battle and another 3000 who dress up and pretend to be wives etc (according to the blerb) many coming from France and Holland.
It was a good day, wandering around the "camps" and looking at stalls selling authentic costumes, armour and weapons
The battle itself was a bit of a damp squib but the best part of the day was two performances by a strange German band, who play a sort of Medieval style rock type music. Very strange but fantastic to watch. They also told stories, their version of Hansel and Greatel was bizzare and not really suitable for children Especially as the guy who dressed up as the witch (wearing a short black pvc nurses type outfit) was not wearing underwear, as I discovered when he pretended to die B)
Heres some photos, check the shoes out

After the last few weeks of silly temperatures, it has finally got back to a reasonable temperature again.
I don't dislike hot weather but when it goes on and on, it gets hard to cope with little people
We've got yet another viewing tomorrow, I just hope we can get someone who doesn't want a character Cotswold cottage, which they all seem to want, dispite knowing ours is a newish house B)

Just back from a last minute holiday to Northern France
The weather was hot and very extreme, 38c on our arrival B) only for a huge thunderstorm to arrive around 3 hours later. I chose to stay in the caravan but hubbie and little fella had to suffer massive hailstones while in the swimming pool
Had a very lazy time, little fella wanted to go to the kids club all the time, so we just relaxed and ate croissants (and drank wine later in the evening )
We even managed to get babysitting from the people who ran the kids club, so we had a night out
It's been a lovely week and dispite Princess Tilly cutting her first 2 teeth this week, it's been really excellent

A few weeks ago (feels longer) my beloved Izzy died on me Izzy was very close to me. Hubbie bought her for my birthday.
I thought all hope was lost but then I asked a kind man today if there was any hope. He took little Izzy, gently putting her into a cradle and then......a glimmer of hope as the little apple started to appear and yes, my darling ipod was brought back to life
I bought her some speakers to cheer her up
My Citreon C3 had an urgent recall issued to it, so severe that hubbie had to sign for the letter when it arrived It appears that it needs some cups putting on the suspension springs so that if they break they don't hit the tyre. Pity they didn't do this earlier, as that is exactly what it did on Valentine's day B) Good news is that, on speaking with Citreon, they say I just have to take the bill into the dealership and they will sort it out - Happy Days £223 better off

My back aches, my knees are sooooooooooo painful and I feel sorry for myself
I am waiting for blood tests B) It could turn out that I have authritus (spelt totally wrong ) I am struggling to sleep at night due to the pain in my joints, so I am just happy to find out what is wrong

This morning saw very extreme storms from 5am, I love storms but once I hear one I can't sleep B)
So hence I'm cream crackered now
Little fella had his concert today, which was good. Zippitidy doo dar etc
Princess Tilly is no longer a vegetarian but a carnivore, having had chicken yesterday. If she chooses to be veggie in later years I shall support her but for the time being it's meat and 2 veg

Well today was another trip down to Devon. Me and little fella had a look round his (hopefully) new school
It was very impressive and little fella was very happy B)
On the way back we made a bit of a wrong turn and ended up in Wibs country and I got lost in Taunton
Hey ho, little fella's summer concert tomorrow and then it's green light for summer holiday planning. We have a passport for Princess Tilly (soooooooooooooooo cute) so need to find something tout suit (French sp)

    It's sooooooooooooooooooooo hot
We are all suffering, especially Tilly She's off her food and hardly drinking anything. I will try her with water tomorrow but if she doesn't have any I will have to see about going to the docs
Having said that my problems are tiny compared to Lady P's It is the most awful thing to be burgled  I hope she can get over it
Still not sold the house, waiting to see if our buyers can get another buyer or if our viewing today provides some good news

Having had the mess of my car leaking oil everywhere, I finally managed to get it to the Dealership today to get it sorted.
I watched through the window as they put it up on the ramps and then got covered in oil It turns out that a seal put on with the oil filter has split. They spent 20 mins sorting the oil filter and 40 mins steam cleaning the engine and twice the outside of the car.
They were very nice about it all and offered free labour on my next service but I said I was moving to Devon and would not have the opportunity to use it, so he is going to refund the labour from the current service
They reversed the car right up to the door so I could put Tilly in and when I went to put her in her seat there was a Citroen Teddy bear on her seat  so they get a bit thumbs up from me

My beloved car went for a service at the Dealership last week. Hubbie has been driving it recently as he is doing more miles than me
I noticed oil on the drive last week but didn't like to mention it. Then I mentioned to hubbie about oil on the gravel as well.
Had a look and there is oil underneath, in the wheel arches and in the engine compartment, it's everywhere and there is no oil left on the dipstick dispite having 4 ltrs of oil in last week
Went to buy some more oil so hubbie can get to a meeting tomorrow but the garage are going to get such a talking to tomorrow
On top of that, my ipod stopped working last night oh joy

Little fella went to a Wildlife park today with Kindergarten
When asking him what his favourite animal was he said "the ones we didn't see"
I asked him if the Lions were more active than last time we saw them (they were sat still for ever  )
He said "they were having cuddles"
When pressed he said "Daddy lion gave mummy lion a big cuddle"

Well after all the stress of recent weeks, we now have the prospect of our buyer's buyer pulling out (after 5 weeks  ) strangely her sons talked her out of the purchase saying it was too remote
So now we have to wait for either them to get another buyer or us to find a new one
Got so p**d off last week I escaped up north, in search of "friendly faces". It must have been bad, as I went to my mum's out of choice
The rollercoaster keeps going up and down but hopefully it will finish soon
On the up side, little people are being very cheerful dispite mummy being in a bad mood. Little lady was sweetness and light tonight after tea as I gave her a bit of a bottle of milk. She lost interest and I decided to take her out of her chair (holding her above me) and as happens when you squeeze a Frube too quickly, she gooed over my face, hair, neck, top, trousers, chair, floor

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo stressed at the mo
People who are buying our house want to move in asap but people we are buying from seem to be putting their feet up
In the meantime I have to try to convince the authorities that we are moving to the area to get little fella into the local school
Lots of options on the cards but unsure which to take at the mo
    .......hence evening long mope

Found some eggs that something had managed to lay on a speaker for the suround sound I was a bit worried they were spider eggs or worse
Took it outside to remove them and realised that they were tidy little ladybirds. I've never seen them before and they were really tiny and cute (about 1mm). I felt a bit guilty for rehousing them so kept popping out to turn them back over when they tipped over
Otherwise it's been a warm, muggy day. I'm hoping we get some nice storms tonight to clear the air a bit
Got a phone call from the practice nurse reminding me I'm overdue a blood test for Vitamin B12 deficiency.....grrr. I know that it's a good thing, because if I am deficient then I can have a course of injections and feel lots better but I hate having blood taken I also need them to test for severly aching joints I've been suffering from recently (I must be getting old )

Everything is a bit boring and dull at the mo. The sun is shining but not much has happened except mild sunburn on my lower back today whilst at a carboot sale.
I was trying to find more clothes for Tilly now she is weening (and making a championship style mess  ) I was lucky and found a woman who seems to have spent most of her husband's hard earned cash at Next etc, so I came away with enough clothes for the next 6 months for not very much money
House sale seems to be going ok (touch wood) and I am looking forward to getting down to Devon and finally settling. To be fair, I never felt settled here and will be quite glad to get away from the place
Oh and there seems to be a football thing going on........me, I was dancing my little booty off in the kitchen while hubbie watched the footie tonight  (he has Angola and is hopeing for the booby prize )
  18. Cakie
Blimey it's been hot for a week now As hubbie says, I'm not designed for hot weather as I have too much Viking blood in me
It's stress, stress, stress at the mo  In an attempt to stop the house chain failing, we have agreed to put everything into storage and camp out with various relatives for a short while if necessary  I may end up regretting this decission
Little fella is really looking forward to moving, the house has his requirements....a chimney and fireplace (well gas fire) I got the details of the two primary schools in the area. One is dreadful (5 headteachers in 3 years ) but the closest seems really nice They have Playtime buddies, Guardian angels (to protect against bullies) and kids can go onto the School Council
We are considering taking a late booking holiday just after Little fella finishes school but I hate flying and would love to avoid it if I could

Well after an incredibly stressful week or so, we have finally found a new place to roost
I've had a mega bad time in the last 10 days or so and would not wish this on anyone  It's an awful thing to do, looking for a new house in an area you don't know but with little ones and sorting out schools it's 10 times worse Not to mention the fact I did this only 6 months ago
Fingers crossed this will be a good move
On the up side, we went to Sidmouth today and enjoyed the sunshine

Today has been a non-stop day
Get little fella to Nursery, then back for Post-natal group, leave early to drive back to Cheltenham Hospital for Urology appointment (not helped by being given the wrong directions and running round the hospital like a maniac ) back to nursery to pick up litle fella, race back home for chap coming to give quote for removals, feed kids, ring estate agents to book viewings, feed kids, go to park, put kids to bed, sort washing out, sort packing out, sort tea out..............colapse in a big heap

I know it's a Jane Goody type phrase but there's not much better way to describe it
Off to Exeter on Friday to have a look round at areas/houses and my mum is looking after little fella at home so looking forward to have a really good look around
I'm also starting to approach agencies about getting back into work (at least part-time). I've almost forgotten how to have adult conversations, so could be interesting

After what seems like an age, we have finally accepted an offer on our house I feel like a huge weight has been lifted from me
It's less than we wanted but if it means we can get down to Devon for the summer and we can sort a school out for Milo, then it's worth losing a bit of money Now I have the joys of trying to find a house somewhere in Exeter asap
With a perked up mood we set off for Oxford yesterday. I've never been and it's only about half an hour away. I was very impressed. It's similar to York in a way and a very enjoyable day was had by all
I even bought some clothes (a rare event for me) I bought a fitted Moleskin jacket in a Moss Green sort of colour. I don't wear green as it was my school uniform colour but it really suits my colouring (Strawberry Blonde) even the lad on the till said it really suited me
Later we are going to take Tilly for her first go at swimming. She loves being in the bath but I don't know how she will take to swimming baths temperatures  but I think it's important to get kids happy in the water as early as possible

Much as I like people coming to view our house (and hopefully buy it) I hate having to tidy up Hubbie reckons it's loads better than any houses we have viewed in the past and that's before I tidy up but I just want it to sell
Today was a 2nd viewing and, finger's crossed, they both seemed to like it (Wife came round by herself 1st time)
Other than cleaning the house, I don't feel I've done very much in the last week or so
Went to Gloucester on Saturday. I've been briefly a month or so ago but previously it was 23 years when I last went  I remember and reckognise one of the main streets there, although it is now pedestrianised. On Saturday we walked near a square I remembered, in my memory it had water features and looked really lovely. We turned the corner and my heart sank It was all run down and they were digging all the water features up. It's amazing how a place can go so downhill
Anyway, moving on to Devon soon (hopefully) and pictures like this help warm my depressed heart

We had a couple come round to view the house tonight
The downside to this is that I have to spend the afternoon cleaning the house like a mad thing
Hopefully they are quite keen and we will see what happens
Yesterday little fella encountered a new experience, a strange substance that was liquid but when you move it quickly it goes solid and if you rub it between your hands it turns into powder
It turns out it was Cornflour and water

Today was Milo's school fete and all the Kindergarden kids can dress up in fancy dress for a competition
As we don't have any fancy dressing up stuff (apart from a sort of knight costume) we made one. Given the resources we had, we decided on a pirate. One stripy top, cut up old pair of trousers and lots of cardboard later and we had a pirate
The majority of the kids turned up spiderman suits, Alice in wonderland costumes etc. I was a little worried that Milo might get upset when he didn't win against the superior competition but thankfully the judges awarded the prizes according to the effort put in (rather than the money spent  ) - 1st Prize
After a very exhausing afternoon, little fella asked to go to bed at 6pm  He's very proud of getting 1st and wants to spend his gift voucher asap
