God this model reading is making me bloody depressed for our region. Always near but never close enough. I am beginning to think you have more chance of winning the lottery than get snow down here.

At least I can recall the epic winter of 62/63. I had just passed my driving test and it was harrowing. The snow ploughs were out all day everyday and being no where else to put the snow it was banked up either side of the roads and you were literally driving through tunnels. Road signs were buried in drifts of snow and trees were falling because of the sheer weight of snow on the branches. The frozen snow and ice on the trees gave them all an appearance of giant chandeliers under the street lamps. I could go on. but I would love you all to witness such a sight one day.it was truly magical.

If you reverse your age Khodds that will give you my age. So being the senior member on this forum I am telling you that you will see something wintry within the next 3 days. So my word is beyond contestation lol.

Just read the Daily Express headline for tomorrows paper saying snow thundersnow and -10 due to hit most of UK on Thursday so it must be right lol.

It may snow in our neck of the woods on Sunday or perhaps next Tuesday or its looking good for the end of March. Ive had enough of wishing and waiting for the seemingly impossible to happen and now long for the charts to show some sign of spring and warmth.

Some charts being posted on the MOD thread are being judged as hopeful. Those same charts are 16 days hence. Its utter madness.

And so the hunt goes on in the MOD thread for more cold rain and miserable weather. More eye candy with just a hopeful few dozen tweaks to yet fall in place for a favourable outcome which will be inevitably down graded in a few hours. These models within a range of possibly 72 hours IMO are next to useless. But just by chance one day they will be on the same hymn sheet. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Yes I agree. I only live 5 mins drive from the beach but in the summer all the northeners are here filling the deck chairs and carparks and I cant get near it lol.

I flit between sw and se lol I consider my location slap bang in the middle, almost like I don't belong anywhere. Hope you guys on the right hand side of me get something to enjoy.
