    Sorted mate You can resize your pictures by right clicking and choosing open with 'Paint.' Click on 'Image'( which is at the top of the window), then select 'Stretch/Skew.' You can then reduce the size by adjusting the percentage amount in the square boxes. Finally select 'Save as,' then you can name and save your resized picture to your chosen folder. Brian

    That's impressive Max wind gust today for these parts appears to be 59mph. However, things have calmed down a bit now, with gusts of around 40mph.

    That was great fun! I've just got back inside after rolling around the underneath of a car for the past two hours. Not only did I get absolutely drenched but I got a ton of dust blown in my eyes too. Anyway, it's still a little but gusty, but the skies have cleared and the sun is shining

    Yeah, just seen that, Sean. There will certainly be some damage around the country with these wind speeds. There are already bits of branches scattered along the roads around here, and it's not really got going properly yet.

    Great work, Sean. Thanks for taking the time to make that map. The Low pressure system is steadily making inroads, with parts of Ireland and Wales already seeing gusts of around 63mph. Quite a nasty storm this, so stay safe everyone

    Thanks for the update guys, it's much appreciated As you both say, It's looking as though the pressure will fall to around the 985mb mark which will lead to some severe gales in places. Not a good situation at this time of year.

    It's looking quite severe on this morning's GFS 00z, Sean: There are some very tight isobars there. Once again, the ECM is showing pressure falling to around 980mb, and the UKMO gets down to around 985mb at one point. Oh dear, that's not good. Stay safe mate Edit: Hold on to your hats guys!
