  1. Yep, I'm up for that....I'll go with somewhere between the BAMD & BAMM model which will take storm track across south half of England, especially now all the other models are pushing track further south. I'll also have biggest sustained at 65mph and gust at 95mph, both around the IOW area. A lot of wishful thinking amongst this but it's all for fun
  2. I can see RD regretting that statement as I've got my money on the centre running through further south, especially now that the BAMM is the only model to have taken into account the likelyhood of Paul having a curry the night before!!
  3. Hi Coast, Looking at this fax chart then the Monday one, would this take the centre further south through southern Scotland? Looks like the preceeding low hangs around NW Scotland forcing ex-TS Katia further south? Not showing on other models though. Thoughts?
  4. Great pics boys and girls. My missus ain't impressed with the Nassau summer holiday choice, but i'm lovin it!! She thinks it's bad now, can't wait till later :-)
  5. you will have to get through immigration and pick up your luggage at Dallas for defo. Hour and a half should be fine and they'll sort you out for later flight if any probs. When i was there earlier on tour 4, i travelled light and had both my small suitcase and backpack on as hand luggage, was a lot quicker. Only had 40 mins at Atlanta for plane home and still made it, if i had to wait for hold luggage, i wouldn't have made it.
  6. Wouldn't mind trying either of those, parched peas or a lancashire lass. Can we buy these darn sarf?
  7. so if this venezualan 180 day storm is what i think it is, then when it rains on thursday here, i'm gonna have beans and prunes for breakfast and see what i can produce storm wise in what will be a controlled methane updraft experiment!!
  8. latest obs A LARGE AND ELONGATED LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS LOCATED ABOUT 575 MILES EAST OF THE NORTHERN WINDWARD ISLANDS. ALTHOUGH THIS SYSTEM HAS CHANGED LITTLE IN ORGANIZATION TODAY...ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN CONDUCIVE FOR A TROPICAL DEPRESSION TO FORM LATER TODAY OR ON MONDAY. THIS SYSTEM HAS A HIGH CHANCE...NEAR 100 PERCENT...OF BECOMING A TROPICAL CYCLONE DURING THE NEXT 48 HOURS AS IT MOVES WEST-NORTHWESTWARD NEAR 15 MPH. AN AIR FORCE RESERVE UNIT RECONNAISSANCE AIRCRAFT IS EN ROUTE TO DETERMINE IF THIS BROAD DISTURBANCE HAS DEVELOPED A WELL-DEFINED SURFACE CIRCULATION CENTER. IF THE LOW BECOMES A TROPICAL CYCLONE LATER TODAY... TROPICAL STORM WATCHES OR WARNINGS WOULD LIKELY BE REQUIRED FOR PORTIONS OF THE NORTHERN WINDWARD ISLANDS AND THE LEEWARD ISLANDS. INTERESTS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD CLOSELY MONITOR THE PROGRESS OF THIS DEVELOPING SYSTEM.
  9. Looks like Hurricane Emily could be the first major hurricane of Atlantic season, all ingredients and motion for a good one :-)
  10. Sorry Tom and to others who have responded to my moaning, guess i was over reacting due to lack of response to my original questions on the BBQ. Thanks to the offers of lifts as well, would love to go but have agreed to some overtime at work now. Hope you all have a great time and the weather is kind to you all. Jimbo Can i please ask you all to ensure political correctness when discussing the weather at the BBQ. You can no longer refer to the current weather as the Typical British Summer. It now has to be referred to as the Typical Muslim Summer........ Occassionally Sunni........ but mostly Shi'ite
  11. I'm sure it is a great event for those involved and who know each other. As for newbies, this always looked like a closed shop as any previous comment i've made on suggested dates and locations were completely ignored. Shame really.
  12. Sorry can't make it, wrong date and location. Enjoy
  13. £20 discount on BA flights via Opodo using code PAYDAY0611, only until Thursday night, on top of current BA sale prices. Don't forget to untick the insurance box and click on sale prices rather than flight search

  18. cell that was moving towards hastings has decayed, so given up on that one, one that was heading from Jersey to Portsmouth still together but may go same way. Still hoping....
  19. probably the cell that's moved out of fecamp, current track arriving around Hastings moving NNE, running east of Maidstone and then around Thames Estuary if it holds together
  20. ?? 6pm tonight or yesterday? Anyway, couple of small areas of development to our south, one coming out of Fecamp and heading towards East Sussex and the other around Jersey heading towards East of Portsmouth in a NE direction. Nothing major but still development
